A recent post by Jack Dorsey, the visionary behind Twitter and a well-known advocate of decentralized technology, has ignited speculation among cryptocurrency enthusiasts—especially within the XRP camp.

The brief AI-generated clip, shared on Primal, a decentralized platform built on the Nostr protocol, features a Bitcoin bull MicroStrategy Chairman Michael Saylor in a manner that has sparked a heated debate within the crypto community.

Did @Jack post @Saylor/BTC transforming into XRP on Nostr??? pic.twitter.com/s7GS0K2VQQ

— Mr. Intuitive (@BlackberryXRP) February 3, 2025

The Unexpected Transformation

The four-second footage portrays Saylor, a staunch Bitcoin advocate, enveloped in visuals celebrating Bitcoin. Clad in symbolic armor, he symbolizes his unwavering support for the asset. However, an unexpected twist occurs—he leaps into the air, and upon descending, he morphs into an XRP emblem.

This striking metamorphosis has sparked intense discussions about the video’s deeper meaning. Could it suggest an ideological shift? Or was it intended as satire? The ambiguity has fueled a flurry of interpretations from various corners of the digital asset sphere.

Dorsey’s Intent: Subtle Endorsement or Mockery?

Dorsey’s decision to keep the video live as of February 2 has amplified debates regarding its significance. While some within the XRP community view it as a possible indication of shifting perspectives toward the asset, skeptics argue it could be an indirect critique of Saylor rather than an endorsement of XRP.

The timing of this post is also noteworthy. Recently, prominent crypto analyst Scott Melker suggested that a potential Trump administration could consider XRP for inclusion in a government-backed reserve system—an idea that challenges the long-held belief among Bitcoin maximalists that Bitcoin should be the sole asset in such a reserve. This backdrop of rising tensions between Bitcoin purists and XRP proponents only adds to the intrigue surrounding Dorsey’s post.

Reactions From Crypto Figures and Analysts

The video quickly caught the attention of influential voices in the digital currency space. A well-known XRP advocate, Mr. Intuitive, was among the first to highlight the clip, questioning whether Dorsey was insinuating a deeper narrative regarding XRP’s place in the crypto ecosystem. Similarly, Good Morning Crypto host Abdullah “Abs” Nassif scrutinized the post, wondering if it symbolized an evolving stance on digital assets beyond Bitcoin.

However, not everyone interprets the clip as a positive signal for XRP. John Deaton, a seasoned legal expert and a vocal supporter of XRP in regulatory battles, cautioned against assuming that Dorsey was endorsing the asset. Instead, he proposed that the post might reflect a critique of Saylor rather than a review of XRP’s legitimacy.

Deaton pointed out that Dorsey has historically dismissed other cryptocurrencies, including Ethereum, arguing that they are subject to centralized influence. He emphasized that Dorsey has remained firm in his belief that Bitcoin is the only truly decentralized asset, making it unlikely that he would suddenly pivot in favor of XRP.

We are on twitter, follow us to connect with us :- @TimesTabloid1

— TimesTabloid (@TimesTabloid1) July 15, 2023

Additionally, Saylor himself has openly criticized XRP. In a previous interview, he explicitly stated that he would not recommend XRP as an investment, citing concerns over regulatory risks and suggesting that it functions more like a security than a decentralized currency.

Mockery or Market Insight?

The true meaning behind Dorsey’s post remains elusive. Some interpret it as a humorous dig at Saylor, insinuating that despite his Bitcoin evangelism, he may ultimately be no different from those who advocate for XRP. Others speculate that the post acknowledges XRP’s growing relevance, even if not outright supportively.

Regardless of the intention, the video highlights the ongoing friction between Bitcoin loyalists and advocates of alternative digital assets. As the crypto market continues to evolve, and with regulatory and political factors influencing future developments, shifts in alliances and perspectives remain possible.

For now, Dorsey has chosen silence, letting the community speculate on the meaning of his post. Whether this marks the beginning of a new crypto narrative or simply a playful jab at Saylor is yet to be determined.

Jack Dorsey, the former CEO of Twitter, has expressed his bullish outlook on Bitcoin (BTC), the largest crypto by market cap, predicting its value could reach at least $1 million by 2030. Dorsey shared his optimism during a recent interview with tech journalist Mike Solana.

Collaborative Spirit Fuels Optimistic Prediction

While acknowledging some uncertainty, Dorsey emphasized the collaborative nature of the Bitcoin community as a key driver behind his forecast. He highlighted the combined efforts of developers, miners, and other stakeholders as crucial factors propelling Bitcoin’s growth. In his view, this collaborative spirit is the primary force contributing to the potential for significant price increases.

Dorsey’s focus on Bitcoin has intensified since he left Twitter. His financial services company, Block, allocates a significant portion of its Bitcoin-related revenue towards further acquisitions.

Dorsey’s prediction aligns with the forecasts of other prominent figures in the financial and technological spheres. Industry leaders like Cathie Wood of Ark Invest, financial author Robert Kiyosaki, and Michael Saylor of MicroStrategy have all projected Bitcoin to reach the $1 million mark. This shared optimism stems from the growing adoption of Bitcoin by institutional investors, who increasingly view it as a digital equivalent to gold.

Reaching the Million-Dollar Mark: Market Implications

At the time of writing, Bitcoin trades at around $60,481, reflecting a significant increase of over 121% in the past year. However, to reach the $1 million target by 2030, Bitcoin’s price would need to grow by approximately 1,501%.

Assuming a stable supply of 19.6 million coins by that time, a $1 million price tag would translate to a total market capitalization of roughly $20 trillion for Bitcoin alone. Considering Bitcoin’s dominance in the cryptocurrency market, exceeding 50% share in most cases, the entire crypto market capitalization could surpass $40 trillion by 2030.

The Road to 2030: Halving Cycles and Bullish Projections

Bitcoin is expected to undergo its fifth halving event by April 2028, which will further reduce the number of new coins entering circulation. Historically, halving events have been followed by bull runs in the Bitcoin market. Many analysts anticipate Bitcoin’s value to range between $150,000 and $250,000 during the next bull market.

It’s important to note that Dorsey’s prediction, along with others calling for a million-dollar Bitcoin, is just that – a prediction. As always, the cryptocurrency market is volatile, and numerous factors can influence Bitcoin’s price trajectory.

The perceived BTC maximalist and principal executive officer of Blocks, Inc, a fintech company focusing on Bitcoin solutions, remains bullish on the future of the leading cryptocurrency asset, amid trading below $25,000 at the time of writing.

The American internet entrepreneur Jack Dorsey is among those taking advantage of BTC’s discounted price, consistently accumulating the asset, as prominent crypto analysts predict a massive bull run in the coming months. Notably, BTC has an exchange rate of $23,723 at press time.

Dorsey, the co-founder of Twitter and former CEO of the top social media outlet hinted that he purchases BTC every week, according to a comment made on Nostr. This was in response to a post made by a certain user Utxo. He wrote, “I wonder if Jack DCA [dollar-cost averaging] into BTC like the rest of us.”

“Yes. Every week is the same,” Jack Dorsey replied. This positive response and comment received over 9,400 satoshis on the Nostr platform through likes.

This came about after a Tesla fan asked Elon Musk to include software notes in the Tesla app. In response to the user’s request, Musk showcased his like for simple C and dislike for the more advanced programming language C++.

It should be noted that Cardano’s smart contract programming language is based on Haskell. Cardano is developed in Haskell for both its off-chain and on-chain codes. However, Haskell is not one of the most widely used programming languages.

Why Cardano Adopts Haskell

According to a Medium post published by Cardano Foundation, Cardano adopts Haskell because it allows programmers to be certain that the code they have implemented is correct.

Stressing the reason further, Cardano Foundation wrote, “

“We know from experience that the resultant vulnerabilities, code failures, or smart contract exploits on other blockchains and smart contract languages have resulted in disastrous consequences and led to considerable financial losses, often in the billions of dollars. This has led some to question whether smart contracts will ever be viable from a risk perspective to institutional users.”

In March 2021, Sina Estavi, a crypto entrepreneur bought the NFT for $2.9 million worth of ETH via the leading NFT marketplace OpenSea.

Last week’s Thursday, Estavi took to Twitter to announce that he has decided to sell the rare NFT. According to the crypto investor, relatively 50% of its proceeds, which he thought would be $25 million, will be donated to charity.

Sina Estavi tweeted, “I decided to sell this NFT ( the world’s first ever tweet ) and donate 50% of the proceeds ( $25 million or more ) to the charity.”

Relatively Low Bid So Far

The auction closed about two days ago on OpenSea, with just seven offers. And the highest bidder is offering just 0.09 ETH worth $275 at current prices, while the lowest bidder offers 0.0019 ETH worth about $6.

It’s worth noting that the investor has to accept the bid, if not, it will expire in a few hours.

In a conversation with CoinDesk on Wednesday, Estavi said, “The deadline I set was over, but if I get a good offer, I might accept it, I might never sell it.”

It can be recalled that Estavi’s crypto ventures Bridge Oracle and CryptoLand collapsed after he was arrested in Iran last year. Currently, he’s in the process of re-launching the Bridge Oracle tokens (BRG) on the BNB Chain, which were initially on the Tron blockchain.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and founder of SpaceX, has recently confirmed that he owns Ethereum (ETH) and Dogecoin (DOGE), adding that both Tesla and SpaceX currently hold Bitcoin (BTC).

Elon Musk made this known at The B Word panel with the CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey. In his opening statement, he stated that he remains a supporter of the flagship cryptocurrency, Bitcoin (BTC), and cryptocurrencies despite his disinterest in energy-consuming proof-of-work (PoW) consensus.

Which Public Stock and Cryptocurrencies He Owns?

According to Elon Musk, the only public stock he owns is Tesla, but the only three meaningful assets he owns aside from Tesla Stock (TSLA) are Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Dogecoin (DOGE). He added that he owns much more BTC than ETH or DOGE.

Aside from the number of digital currencies he claimed he owns, Elon Musk also confirmed that SpaceX also owns Bitcoin (BTC).

It was made public earlier this year that the electric car manufacturing company, Tesla, acquired $1.5 billion worth of BTC. However, it was not officially announced that the space exploration tech firm, SpaceX, owns Bitcoin. Although the billionaire tech expert did not disclose the worth of BTC SpaceX currently holds.

Elon Musk noted:

“I do own Bitcoin, and Tesla owns it, and SpaceX owns it… and I own a little bit of Ethereum and, of course, Dogecoin.”

“In general I’m a supporter of Bitcoin and the idea of cryptocurrency…But as I said publicly, we need to watch out for crypto taking, especially Bitcoin, using proof of work to maybe use energy that’s maybe a bit too much and not necessarily good for the environment…Bitcoin does some things well, and it’s evolving… Usability for the average person is not very good, but it has a lot of potential.

Praising Bitcoin as a censorship-resistant asset, he said, “But Bitcoin per se is mostly solving for scarcity. Or rather, solving for essentially, having no throat to choke, decentralized. So there’s no one who can be coerced in any way to empty that Bitcoin account. Well, I guess they could technically but on an individual basis.”

In the course of the conversation, he described his vision for the future of Bitcoin as a single layer and pointed out that SpaceX is playing a vital role in this regard.
