The American internet entrepreneur Jack Dorsey is among those taking advantage of BTC’s discounted price, consistently accumulating the asset, as prominent crypto analysts predict a massive bull run in the coming months. Notably, BTC has an exchange rate of $23,723 at press time. 

Dorsey, the co-founder of Twitter and former CEO of the top social media outlet hinted that he purchases BTC every week, according to a comment made on Nostr. This was in response to a post made by a certain user Utxo. He wrote, “I wonder if Jack DCA [dollar-cost averaging] into BTC like the rest of us.” 

“Yes. Every week is the same,” Jack Dorsey replied. This positive response and comment received over 9,400 satoshis on the Nostr platform through likes. 

Nostr which represents ‘Notes and Other Stuff Transmitted by Relays’ is a decentralized social media platform backed by Jack Dorsey that enables payments using Bitcoin’s Lightning Network. 

Last December, the tech billionaire donated a whopping 14 BTC for Nostr development after stepping down as Twitter CEO. This donation was worth roughly $240,000 at the time. 

Dorsey’s passion for Bitcoin solutions led to the starting of a decentralized social media project dubbed Bluesky in 2019. Per an update, the test version of Bluesky Social, a decentralized Twitter alternative, landed on App Store on Tuesday. More users can now access and test the application while waiting for its main launch.

Relatively Low Bid So Far

The auction closed about two days ago on OpenSea, with just seven offers. And the highest bidder is offering just 0.09 ETH worth $275 at current prices, while the lowest bidder offers 0.0019 ETH worth about $6.

It’s worth noting that the investor has to accept the bid, if not, it will expire in a few hours.

In a conversation with CoinDesk on Wednesday, Estavi said, “The deadline I set was over, but if I get a good offer, I might accept it, I might never sell it.”

According to Elon Musk, the only public stock he owns is Tesla, but the only three meaningful assets he owns aside from Tesla Stock (TSLA) are Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Dogecoin (DOGE). He added that he owns much more BTC than ETH or DOGE.

Aside from the number of digital currencies he claimed he owns, Elon Musk also confirmed that SpaceX also owns Bitcoin (BTC).

It was made public earlier this year that the electric car manufacturing company, Tesla, acquired $1.5 billion worth of BTC. However, it was not officially announced that the space exploration tech firm, SpaceX, owns Bitcoin. Although the billionaire tech expert did not disclose the worth of BTC SpaceX currently holds.

Elon Musk noted:

“I do own Bitcoin, and Tesla owns it, and SpaceX owns it… and I own a little bit of Ethereum and, of course, Dogecoin.”

“In general I’m a supporter of Bitcoin and the idea of cryptocurrency…But as I said publicly, we need to watch out for crypto taking, especially Bitcoin, using proof of work to maybe use energy that’s maybe a bit too much and not necessarily good for the environment…Bitcoin does some things well, and it’s evolving… Usability for the average person is not very good, but it has a lot of potential. 

Praising Bitcoin as a censorship-resistant asset, he said, “But Bitcoin per se is mostly solving for scarcity. Or rather, solving for essentially, having no throat to choke, decentralized. So there’s no one who can be coerced in any way to empty that Bitcoin account. Well, I guess they could technically but on an individual basis.”
