Shibariumscan, the blockchain explorer for Shibarium, reports that the number of interacting wallet addresses on the L2 blockchain has exceeded 51,000, with 51,028 wallets currently active. This surge in wallet addresses with thousands of new addresses in a few hours, led to projections of reaching 100,000 wallets in the coming days.

Impressive Milestones in Transactions and Block Production

In addition to the increase in wallet activity, Shibarium has also achieved notable milestones in transaction count and block production. The mainnet has recorded a total of 148,181 transactions, with 286,258 blocks produced at an average block time of five seconds. Just yesterday, Shibarium set a new record for daily transactions, reaching an astonishing 100,905.

Despite facing technical issues that temporarily halted activity, Shibarium has shown resilience and has successfully resumed block production. The development team has implemented important features, including monitoring and auto server reset capabilities, to prevent similar technical issues caused by high traffic in the future.

With these optimizations, Shibarium aims to surpass the performance of its testnet. The data from Puppyscan, which tracks Shibarium Beta on Puppynet, reveals that over 17 million wallet addresses have connected to the platform. Puppynet has also produced 2,219,000 blocks at an average time of 6.8 seconds.

Increasing BONE Staking

In a parallel development, Shiba Inu ecosystem’s marketing specialist, Lucie, shared details about BONE staking. Users have staked an impressive 15,327,440.0901 (15.2 million) BONE tokens, as revealed in a screenshot attached to the tweet.

Lucie also mentioned that users can stake their BONE on Ethereum without the need to bridge their tokens onto Shibarium. Additionally, she provided insights into BONE delegation for Shibarium users.

The leading exchange described the new development as a means to work with LEASH and BONE to give its members a chance to receive returns of up to 10% APY with Staking.

Going by the report, the staking period is 30 days from the launch date and there will be preparation and distribution periods at the start and end of the investment.

Bitrue said the BONE and LEASH staking is slated to begin at 13:00 UTC on the 12th of July. The exchange urged users to join the bandwagon at the early stage as these investments often sell out extremely quickly.

Bitrue Lists LEASH

Just about 24 hours ago, the top crypto exchange Bitrue announced the listing of LEASH, giving its users access to its deposit features on the trading platform.

The launch of spot trading for the LEASH/USDT pair is scheduled for July 12, 2023, at 10:00 (UTC), according to the official announcement. The report added that the withdrawal feature for LEASH will be active on July 13, 2023, at 10:00 (UTC).

Mazrael first rose to fame after his viral video featuring his beloved Shiba Inu, Sushi. Since then, he has become one of the most influential Shiba Inu influencers, with hundreds of thousands of followers across various social media platforms. However, Mazrael did not indicate what Chanpeng Zhao would gain if he eventually won the challenge.

Mazrael recently took to Twitter to challenge Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao to list both BONE and LEASH on the exchange. His tweet stated: “Hey @cz_binance, I challenge you to a Shiba eternity duel. If you lose the contest, you list $Leash and $Bone.”

The tweet quickly went viral on Twitter, prompting another Influencer, Lucie Sasnikokva, to react to the duel. Many members of the Shiba Inu community voiced their support for Mazrael’s proposed contest.

Both $Bone and $Leash are already on other cryptocurrency trading platforms like Bitget, prompting, crypto enthusiasts to call on Binance CEO to look into the $Bone and $Leash project

At the time of writing, Binance has yet to make an official announcement regarding the listing of either BONE or LEASH. However, with the increased attention and support from Mazrael and the Shiba Inu community, it is likely that Binance may eventually decide to give these tokens a chance.

BONE Now Supported in Bermuda Privacy Wallet

An exciting and positive development recently reached the Bone Shibaswap (BONE) token. Per a Monday update, the Shiba Inu ecosystem token has gained support in the Bermuda privacy wallet alongside the stablecoin, DAI.  

This development comes two months after Bermuda integrated the second-largest decentralized meme token Shiba Inu (SHIB) into its privacy protocol.

Notably, Bermuda is a non-custodial privacy-driven decentralized application (DApp). This means that users can now shuffle BONE without their wallet addresses, identity, and other personal information being revealed to any third party when they use the Dapp.

With this high level of privacy being attached to transactions involving the Bone Shibaswap governance token, deep-pocket whales and top players concerned about privacy may shift their attention to BONE. 

Of course, this could fuel a massive rally in the price of the Shiba Inu ecosystem token similar to the recent Shibarium-inspired price surge. Recall that Crypto.com recently enabled BONE to be used for payments in over 80 million merchants worldwide. 

The increasing adoption of BONE follows the news that the token would be the only gas currency in the upcoming Shibarium project ecosystem. 

Bermuda To Support Shibarium

To add icing on the cake, Bermuda hinted at possible future support for the upcoming Shiba Inu layer-2 scaling solution. 

“We will be releasing a cross-chain update in the coming months and will be supporting a number of L1’s and L2’s,” Bermuda wrote in response to a user who asked to know their plans for Shibarium.

Crypto.com App Lists Bone ShibaSwap (BONE)

On Friday, BONE — the native and governance token of the Bone Shibaswap ecosystem — landed the Crypto.com trading App which supports over 250 cryptocurrencies. 

Accordingly, Crypto.com App users can now trade the Shiba Inu-related crypto asset at true cost with more than 20 popular fiat currencies including USD, EUR, and GBP.  

As per the listing announcement, the Shiba Inu community and other crypto users can now spend BONE at more than 80 million merchants globally using the Crypto.com Visa Card.

It’s worth noting that Shiba Inu (SHIB) constitutes a greater percentage of assets held on the Crypto.com App. Particularly, the second-largest decentralized meme token constitutes roughly 18% of the exchange’s total reserve.

It is also the third-largest holding on the exchange following Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH). But as of December 7, 2022, both Bitcoin and Shiba Inu had the same reserve ratio of 102% per Crypto.com’s proof of reserve update. 

Notably, on February 28, the volume of Shiba Inu on the trading platform touched $677 million, surpassing that of USD Coin (USDC).

Following the latest update regarding the long-awaited Shibarium layer 2 protocol, there has been an increased accumulation of Shiba Inu by several investors including the top 1000 ETH whales. According to Whalestats, Shiba Inu tokens held by the top 1000 ETH whales were worth $161,841,349, as of January 15.

Consequently, SHIB surged dramatically on Wednesday with an increase of over 22% in a long 4-hour green candle. Notably, SHIB price rallied non-stop from $0.00001053 to $0.00001295 on Wednesday morning before showing signs of a relief retracement. 

Shiba Inu also recorded an increase in its market capitalization value which has taken it to the 13th-largest crypto by dollar valuation, flipping Litecoin (LTC), at press time. Interestingly, at some point today, SHIB bypassed DOT and was rated as the 12th-largest crypto asset. At the time of writing Shiba Inu has a market cap of roughly $6.64B and is trading for $0.00001208 per token.

The Shiba Inu ecosystem token BONE, which will be the only governance token on the upcoming Shibarium protocol, has also been among the top performers of late. Notably, Bone Shibaswap has been up by over 57% in the last two weeks, and 98% in the last month.

At press time, BONE has increased by over 7.17% in the last 24 hours and is trading for $1.47 per token with a 24-hour trading volume of $12,754,182. The meme token now has a market cap of approximately $338 million, shortly after the Shibarium team announced that BONE will serve as the ‘gas’ of the layer 2 protocol. 

“This is to confirm and validate, from us, the official source, that BONE is and remains the only token selected for gas fees and use. No other tokens will be necessary to operate within the protocol,” the team wrote. 

It bears mentioning that over 67,000 wallets now hold Bone Shibaswap as the sentiments around BONE and Shiba Inu remain bullish.
