Mysterious Wallet Burns Over 2 Billion Shiba Inu (SHIB) in One Transaction

As the ShibArmy presses on to reduce the hyperinflated supply of the second-largest decentralized meme token, several independent projects have shown massive support to the mission, burning billions of SHIB tokens at will.

In one of the most recent and striking SHIB burn transactions, over 2 billion Shiba Inu tokens were incinerated on Tuesday courtesy of a mysterious new wallet as updated by the official SHIB burn tracker.

According to Etherscan, a block explorer and analytics platform for Ethereum, exactly 2,005,265,274 SHIB was transferred to a dead wallet, removing them from the meme token’s supply forever. At the time of execution, the worth of this hefty transaction was $20,152.92.

While the enforcer(s) of this significant SHIB burn remains unknown and yet to take credit for the transaction, some community members believe that the team behind the Blaze project executed the 2 billion Shib burn considering the track of transactions recorded in the recently activated wallet and other indications.

Notably, before the massive SHIB was implemented, the mysterious wallet recorded its first two transactions, depositing 14 Ether (ETH). Out of these deposits, 10.8 ETH was swapped to approximately 2 billion Shiba Inu tokens. The wallet then burned all the acquired SHIB tokens. After this transaction, data on Etherscan showed that the new wallet swapped 2.45 ETH for 4.8 billion Blaze (BLZE) tokens.

Founded by Levi Rietveld, Blaze which has the native token BLZE is a recently launched project that claims to be on a mission to “burn trillions of SHIB.” While the team behind BLZE have taken no credit for the 2 billion SHIB burn executed on Tuesday, Rietveld tweetedBLZE is getting ready to complete its first-ever Shib burn” about two hours before Shibburn updated the incineration of 2,005,265,274 SHIB in one transaction.

With all of these daily massive SHIB burns, one cannot completely rule out the possibility of SHIB getting to $0.01. It bears noting that one of the earliest Bitcoin investors DaVinci Jeremie recently said he is ready to sell his Cardano to buy more SHIB.
