Initially, the crypto market felt the impact of the collapse of both crypto-friendly banks as BTC sank to $19,500 on Friday in one long red candle. 

However, the largest crypto by market capitalization staged a sharp comeback following a stunt pulled by Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao. Per an update, Binance converted $1B of the Industry Recovery Fund to BTC, ETH, and BNB. 

This bullish move and many other factors saw Bitcoin price skyrocketing over 25% in a few days, hitting $26,300 on Tuesday. 

Accordingly, a well-known crypto analyst pseudonymously known as CredibleCrypto noted that the latest aggressive rally in BTC price may likely be the start of a major multi-month rally.

$40k Resistance In Sight

While sharing his bullish outlook on the leading crypto asset, the analyst noted that it is likely that BTC would pull back to $22,000 and consolidate before a massive leg up to the $40k resistance area.  

Here’s what CredibleCrypto said in a Twitter video:

“We could potentially take out these highs [$25,600] and then come back down. This area right here [$22,000] is now going to be a significant area of support… So it’s certainly possible that we take these highs and come down here and consolidate a little bit longer, maybe chop around here and then continue up for a more gradual increase and then we simply rocket off of this level.

“I cannot rule out another retest of these levels [$18,000]. Again, it’s logical to restest these levels. I cannot rule that out. But with this strength and [the] aggression of this move to the upside, it just introduces other scenarios that make that type of a retest a little less likely,” he added.

At the time of filing this report, Bitcoin (BTC) is trading at $19,945, after crashing from around $69,000 all-time high recorded in November 2021.

Many macroeconomic factors, including rising interest rates and a risk-off sentiment among investors, have been seen as part of the major causes of the extended negative trend.

The unfavorable situation in the market has caused liquidations in crypto-related firms, massive layoffs, and halts of withdrawal.

In another tweet, Credible Crypto compared the current growing adoption of cryptocurrency to that of the internet in its early days. According to a Morgan Stanley report quoted in the tweet, in the space of 4 years (between 1996 and 2000), the internet grew from 77 million users to 412 million users. The number reached 1.98 billion in 2010 and is now standing at 4.9 billion.

According to the report, as of June 2021, the number of crypto users globally had attained 221 million.

The popular analyst is waiting to see XRP convincingly break above a line of resistance at around $0.83. At the time of filing this report, XRP is trading at $0.7913, with a relatively 6% price downtrend in the last 24 hours.

Bitcoin (BTC) to Dip Slightly Before a Race to $50,000

Looking at Bitcoin (BTC), the largest crypto by market cap, the analyst is looking forward to something similar to his aforementioned prediction for XRP. According to Credible Crypto, traders can expect at least a 10% dip before a continuation up to $50,000.

“Now that we are at monthly resistance we may see a pullback. Even if we do, a higher low to $38-$40k would be ‘healthy’ followed by continuation to 50k and a reclamation of our monthly resistance after which point I’ll have my sights set on a new ATH.”

On the other hand, the analyst pointed out that the digital token XRP has been holding up stronger than Bitcoin (BTC) and could be ready to finally breakout.

“BTC looks great here. Not much in terms of resistance until $45,000+. Expecting upside across the board in the coming days as long as the green region is held (which I expect it will be)…”

“While BTC recently swept our wick lows at $42,000 and Ethereum dumped even further below its own, XRP has held up incredibly well through this correction and has not gotten close to its own wick lows. Path of least resistance seems to be Up. All eyes may be on XRP soon.”

Back in August 2021, Credible Crypto said that he was expecting XRP to finish off the bull market somewhere between $20 and $30, and he says that target still stands.

The analyst said current prices could serve as the Launchpad for a parabolic uptrend, given that XRP bears look like they’re starting to lose strength:

At the time of writing, XRP is trading at $0.7821, with a relatively 1% price upsurge in the last 24 hours, according to CoinMarketCap.

Credible Crypto noted:

“My target region of $3000-$3300 was hit and we are now seeing signs of relief incoming. Multiple bullish divs on lower TF on both the USD and BTC pairings. The probability for upside from current levels is higher than downside in my opinion. Targeting $3500 (retest of breakdown) for now.”

Looking at Ethereum against Bitcoin (BTC), the crypto strategist says that he’s bullish on the pair and altcoins in general as long as ETH/BTC can stay above support at 0.07 BTC worth $2,984.04.

“People saying ETH/BTC looks terrible here and I’m just like ‘zoom out.’ As covered in my Youtube video a couple of months ago, ETH/BTC has had a MAJOR breakout, and as long as we are now ABOVE this level ETH (and alts) should bounce back HARD from this dip. I am accumulating.”

Credible is also looking at the extremely elevated open interest (OI) in Bitcoin, which tracks the total number of long and short positions held by market participants.

The crypto analyst predicts that the next flush of excess leverage in the market will resolve to the upside and ignite a strong Bitcoin rally.

“What if the major OI wipeout everyone is looking for ends up happening because of a squeeze to the upside rather than a move further down?

“Happened in August 2021 as we moved off the 30k bottom. Think we probably see that play out again. Bears are bout to be wiped clean.”
