XRP may be approaching a decisive point in its long-term technical structure, according to a new analysis from crypto analyst Dark Defender.
Pointing to a fresh signal on the weekly chart, the analyst believes momentum has shifted in favor of buyers and that the cryptocurrency has entered the next phase of its Elliott Wave cycle.
His latest outlook on X identifies a bullish Relative Strength Index (RSI) crossover as the confirmation for what he expects could be the beginning of Wave 5, with projections extending toward double-digit price levels.
The accompanying weekly chart outlines an Elliott Wave structure that places XRP at the start of what the analyst labels as the fifth wave. According to the chart, XRP has completed Waves 1 through 4 and is now forming Wave 5 after finding support near the lower boundary of an ascending trendline.

Chart Points to Higher Fibonacci Targets
Dark Defender’s chart combines Elliott Wave analysis with Fibonacci extension levels to project possible upside targets. The first major extension shown is the 161.8% Fibonacci level around $1.88, which appears as an intermediate objective before higher price zones come into focus.
Beyond that, the chart identifies the 261.8% Fibonacci extension near $5.86 and a final projection close to the 300% extension around $9.04. While the analyst referred to a “road to double digits” in his post, the highest marked target on the chart sits just below $10, suggesting that a move beyond that level would require XRP to continue advancing past the illustrated projection.
The chart also highlights an upward-sloping support line that XRP is currently holding above. Dark Defender indicated that maintaining this structure supports his expectation that the fifth wave is now underway.
RSI Crossover Forms the Basis of the Analysis
A major part of the analyst’s outlook centers on the weekly RSI indicator displayed beneath the price chart. The RSI line appears to have crossed above its moving average while recovering from oversold territory, a signal that technical analysts often monitor for signs of improving momentum.
Dark Defender emphasized this development in his post, writing, “Yes! The bullish RSI cross has arrived on the weekly,” before adding that “XRP Wave 5 officially starts.” His analysis suggests that the momentum shift shown by the RSI strengthens the bullish case presented by the Elliott Wave structure.
The chart visually connects the RSI crossover with the current price action, indicating that the momentum signal aligns with the beginning of the projected Wave 5 advance.

Community Responds With Optimism and Skepticism
The post received mixed reactions from members of the XRP community. One user, Georgios Dalakouras, questioned the optimistic outlook by commenting, “Road to double digits, meanwhile we have been at $1 for ages,” expressing frustration with XRP’s prolonged trading range.
Another user, Warcraft Virgin, observed that the chart’s highest projection was approximately $10, commenting that the best-case scenario shown was “a measley $10.”
Despite the differing views in the comments, Dark Defender maintained that the weekly RSI crossover marks the start of XRP’s next bullish phase and continues to project a move toward double-digit price levels based on his technical analysis.
