Veteran Investor Explains How XRP Would Thrive If CLARITY Act Fails

The future of cryptocurrency regulation in the United States remains a key focus for the digital asset industry, with many closely watching the progress of the CLARITY Act.

Amid continued uncertainty, crypto commentator Digital Asset Investor has shared a perspective suggesting that the industry, and XRP in particular, could still emerge stronger even if the legislation fails to become law.

Attached to Digital Asset Investor’s tweet was a video featuring former U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Chairman Chris Giancarlo discussing the potential consequences if the CLARITY Act does not pass. The post also included the commentator’s own view that XRP could stand to benefit more than most digital assets under such a scenario.

Giancarlo Says Builders Will Be Rewarded

In the video, Giancarlo explained that the absence of the CLARITY Act would not necessarily halt innovation within the cryptocurrency industry. Instead, he suggested it would distinguish companies willing to continue developing despite regulatory uncertainty from those that choose to wait for clearer rules.

According to Giancarlo, firms with the confidence to keep building would ultimately gain an advantage over competitors that delay progress. He maintained that, looking back a decade from now, the companies that continued innovating despite uncertainty would likely be the ones that benefited the most from the industry’s long-term growth.

His comments focused less on the immediate legislative outcome and more on the resilience of businesses that remain committed to expanding their products and services regardless of the regulatory environment.

Digital Asset Investor Points to Ripple and XRP

Responding to Giancarlo’s remarks, Digital Asset Investor said a few companies have demonstrated more determination than Ripple throughout its legal and regulatory challenges.

The commentator said Ripple has consistently continued building despite years of litigation and regulatory scrutiny in the United States. Based on that track record, he stated that XRP could benefit more than many other digital assets if the CLARITY Act ultimately fails to pass.

Community Members Share Similar Views

The post also prompted reactions from members of the XRP community, many of whom expressed confidence in Ripple’s regulatory standing.

One commenter, Evelyn, stated that with regulatory clarification, XRP would enter what she described as its own era, reflecting optimism about the asset’s future regardless of the legislative process.

Another community member, Mark W, argued that the debate should focus on when rather than whether Ripple’s regulatory advantages would become evident. He maintained that Ripple’s years of navigating legal challenges resulted in XRP becoming the only digital asset with what he described as complete legal clarity.

Mark W also expressed the opinion that the CLARITY Act was never likely to pass, suggesting that Ripple’s existing position would continue to distinguish it from much of the broader digital asset market.

While the ultimate fate of the CLARITY Act remains uncertain, Digital Asset Investor’s post highlighted the belief held by some XRP supporters that companies willing to continue building through regulatory uncertainty may be best positioned for future growth, with Ripple frequently cited as a leading example.
