Data retrieved from the Shibburn official tracker website on September 23 revealed the accumulated BONE tokens on Shibarium to be 0.512013000539 and valued at $0.401190858650.

The figure above indicates a significant increment from the earlier projected 0.0000089902 BONE tokens estimate. It is worth mentioning that the figure above represents the BONE holdings the Shibarium blockchain has accumulated to burn SHIB. 

In addition, the tracker website revealed that Shibarium must complete an estimated 5,386,218,017,637,552 (5.39 quadrillion) transactions to accumulate just $25,000 for the Shiba Inu burn project. Notably, $25,000 would only be sufficient to burn approximately 3.4 billion SHIB coins, questioning the Shibarium’s SHIB burn capacity.

Shibarium Explorer’s Latest Statistics And Implications

Meanwhile, at the time of writing, data retrieved from Shibariumscan.io revealed the daily transaction on Shibarium Explorer to be 38.45k. Should this figure remain relatively constant, it implies that 140,083,693,567 (140 billion) days are needed to complete the first burn transaction. 

140 billion days are roughly 384 million years. this is an unrealistic period required to achieve a significant incineration rate, reflecting how much the scaling solution network needs to grow in its adoption to upscale its burn project.

In a post on X, Shibburn points out that SHIB’s historic rise was due to the demand from users. Platform clarified that Vitalik didn’t spend $1.7 billion when he burned the SHIB tokens in May 2021.

The Shiba Inu burn tracker stressed that the tokens were given to Vitalik when SHIB was deployed. The act of transferring most of those tokens some months later did not have a direct positive impact on the token’s price.

Shibburn pointed out that the price surge came because of high demand which can be attributed to more and more investors discovering and investing in SHIB. However, the platform concluded that Vitalik’s action could also have an impact on the token price since he was holding relatively half of the SHIB supply.

To support his claims, he provided a chart from coinmarketcap.com which highlighted something interesting.

SHIB had already increased from $0.00000154 on May 7, 2021, to $0.00003469 on May 11 of the same year. The chart clearly shows that SHIB’s rally was firmly in progress before Vitalik’s token burn.

However, it wasn’t long before SHIB made its big comeback and in October 2021, SHIB reached an all-time high of $0.00008845. This happened well after the token burn.

He also pointed out that SHIB has grown 46 million percent since 2020 but has only grown 5x since May 6, 2021, showing that the burn had very little effect on the SHIB price trajectory.

Explaining further, Shibburn noted that it is only aware of one project that assumed the role of sending Shiba Inu coins directly to the official Shiba Inu contact address about a year ago. 

Aside from the project above, Shibburn highlighted a few instances that saw SHIB tokens transferred to the contract address. Specifically, the Shiba Inu burn rate tracker account highlighted the transfer of 60 billion worth of SHIB holdings to the smart contract in early 2021. 

Shibburn tweeted, “I only noticed one group claiming to send SHIB directly to the contract address about a year ago, but there were a few cases where larger transactions, like one in early 2021 where 60 billion SHIB was sent.”

Meanwhile, Shibburn remarked that SHIB holdings in dead wallets or the contracts can be tracked and confirmed, reiterating that once transactions are sent they become irrevocable. Other means of permanently losing SHIB holdings could be as a result of misplaced keys.

Shiba Inu’s Path To A Potential $0.01 Price Mark 

Shiba Inu’s route to $0.01 might appear impossible, but it is still attainable. Based on mathematical analysis, Shiba Inu’s current market capitalization of almost $5 billion must spike to around $5.8 trillion to accommodate SHIB at $0.01 per token. 

Intriguingly, a $5.8 trillion market cap would place SHIB ahead of tech behemoths such as Apple.

As the chance of SHIB reaching $0.01 becomes more speculative than real with each passing day, a known analytic platform has projected a $0.62 SHIB price to happen by 2050.

Time Frame For SHIB’s Ascent To $0.01 with Current Burn Rate

At the time of writing, SHIB burn data indicated a burn rate of around 20.55% and a total of about 412,320,066 SHIB tokens incinerated in the past 24 hours. Thus far, 410,657,707,991,227 Shiba Inu tokens have been removed permanently from circulation. 

Based on calculations that involve removing the total number of burned SHIB tokens and a burn rate of approximately 412 million SHIB tokens per day, Shiba Inu would require almost 4,000 years to reduce SHIB’s total supply to about 100 billion, which would accommodate the $0.01 projected price target.

Meanwhile, per a recent news article, Shiba Inu’s list of top burners surfaced. According to the list, Vitalik Buterin, the Ethereum co-founder, was ranked top ahead of the remaining four.

The Ethereum co-founder reportedly contributed to moving about 410.24 trillion SHIB tokens worth $3.41 billion to the furnace sometime in 2021.
