Shiba Inu (SHIB) Can Now Be Purchased with Apple Pay and Google Pay on Binance

The leading cryptocurrency exchange’s latest update has onboarded an additional method through which Binance users can purchase different crypto assets including Shiba Inu (SHIB), the second-largest decentralized meme toke.

Per the Thursday announcement from Binance, both the Google Pay and Apple Pay payment options have been incorporated into the exchange’s crypto purchase system. “BinanceBuild update: Apple Pay and Google Pay payment options are now available on Binance! Purchase crypto, with ease,” the team tweeted. 

Following the introduction of this advanced development, members of the Shiba Inu community and other crypto enthusiasts can now buy SHIB seamlessly using either of these popular payment services.

Notably, Google Pay is a widely used mobile payment channel developed by Google to power in-app, online, and in-person contactless purchases on mobile devices. The payment service enables users to make payments with Android phones, tablets, or even watches. On the other hand, Apple Pay is a mobile payment service created by Apple Inc. It allows users with supported devices to make payments in person, in iOS apps, and on the web. 

However, these two payment options are only available for Binance users in countries where Google Pay and Apple Pay services are supported, per the announcement. While some users have executed transactions using these additional payment methods, there are a few complaints from some users.

This welcomed development from Binance, the largest digital assets marketplace by 24-hour trading volume comes after another top crypto exchange OKX launched flexible staking for Shiba Inu (SHIB). Notably, the APY for SHIB flexible staking on OKX is 2.5% and Shiba Inu holders can stake as low as 1 SHIB token. Subsequently, anon whales were spotted moving roughly 5.7 trillion SHIB within 24 hours.
