6.05 Billion XRP Hits Exchanges. Here’s What Happened

Over the last 30 days, 6.05 billion XRP flowed onto cryptocurrency exchanges, reaching the highest level since March. The number is large enough to generate significant attention across crypto markets, but Abs Nassif of Good Evening Crypto says the headline requires context before drawing conclusions.

The Story Is More Complex Than it Looks

CryptoQuant data, cited by Cointelegraph, shows the 6.05 billion XRP figure covers the 30 days ending October 19. Binance received the largest share at approximately 2.46 billion XRP, followed by Bybit at 580.31 million and OKX at 557.13 million.

Nassif is clear about what this figure actually represents. “This doesn’t mean that $6 billion XRP was sold into the open market,” he said. The number is a gross inflow figure. XRP arriving at an exchange can be sold, provide liquidity or move between platforms.

If the same XRP leaves an exchange and returns, it counts toward the deposit total again. To get a real read on price pressure, Nassif says you need to look at withdrawals, exchange balances, and actual trading volume alongside the deposit data.

The Technical Picture

Nassif also covers the price structure around XRP. The 100-day and 200-day moving averages are both sitting near $1.28, with XRP trading in the $1.28-$1.33 range.

He says the key level to watch is $1.60-$1.73. A break above that resistance opens the path toward Fibonacci targets at $2.25, $2.50, and then $3. He also notes that fresh capital is flowing into Bitcoin, which he sees as a bullish signal.

AI Agents Building on the XRP Ledger

While the exchange data dominates the conversation, Nassif says another development deserves equal attention. Yellow is building infrastructure that lets AI agents pay each other quickly and safely, using the XRP Ledger as the settlement layer.

Yellow’s Chief Marketing Officer recently shared her bullish stance on XRP. The company acts as a middle layer for agent-to-agent transactions, handling the deal without fees or delays, and locks in the final result on the XRP Ledger.

More Agents Than Humans

Jake Claver, quoted in the episode, put the scale in context: “I don’t know how to impress upon you guys how large the agentic economy is going to be. Within the next couple of years, there’s going to be more agents than humans.”

Nassif sees the rise of agentic transactions as a major catalyst for XRP demand. If millions of agents use XRP, real-world usage of the token grows consistently. More usage means more recurring demand, and that has a direct positive effect on price.
