Tungstenum accelerates the development of its fintech infrastructure and evaluates a seed round

Tungstenum, a fintech venture incubated by Ziken Labs, is entering a new stage of development. After completing its initial strategy framework, building its first MVP and starting its backtesting activities, the company is now expanding its team, onboarding experienced industry advisors and evaluating a potential fundraising round.

Tungstenum’s goal is to build a modular B2B/B2B2C infrastructure that enables financial institutions, asset managers and fintech companies to create and distribute systematic investment strategies based on transparent and verifiable rules.

From the strategy framework to the first MVP

Over the past few months, Tungstenum has reached several important operational milestones. Its initial strategy framework has been completed, while the first MVP supports the creation, backtesting, monitoring and rebalancing of cross-asset investment strategies.

The infrastructure is designed to cover different asset classes, including equities, commodities, digital assets and other financial instruments. Tungstenum aims to address the fragmentation that often characterises the development of investment products by bringing strategy construction, performance analysis, reporting and the automated generation of investment documentation into a single environment.

The current development phase includes the progressive enhancement of the MVP, the integration of additional technology providers and the introduction of more advanced risk-management and operational automation features. In parallel, Tungstenum is assessing the most suitable regulatory pathways to support the future distribution of its products through regulated partners.

A model designed for financial institutions and fintech companies

Tungstenum is primarily positioned as a B2B infrastructure provider. Its strategies could be made available through licensing agreements, API integrations and white-label solutions, allowing partners to incorporate systematic investment products into their offering without having to build the underlying quantitative and technological infrastructure internally.

A second development path involves a B2B2C model through which banks, investment platforms and fintech companies could offer Tungstenum-powered strategies directly to their customers. At a later stage, the company may also evaluate retail-facing products and partnerships for the development of ETFs, listed instruments and tokenised investment solutions. Initial discussions have already begun with potential partners and industry operators.

Evaluating a potential seed round

Following the consolidation of its initial product and the beginning of its first commercial conversations, Tungstenum has started evaluating a potential seed round. This remains a preliminary assessment aimed at identifying the most appropriate structure to support the venture’s growth and selecting investors capable of contributing not only capital, but also expertise, industry connections and market access.

The resources raised through a potential round would primarily be allocated to strengthening the technology, expanding the team, supporting regulatory and compliance activities, and activating the first pilot projects with institutional partners. Part of the investment would also support business development and the creation of strategic partnerships across the fintech, investment technology and digital asset markets.

New advisors and team members for the next phase

Alongside product development, Tungstenum is onboarding advisors with experience across fintech, investment technology and digital assets. Their contribution will support the definition of the operating model, regulatory strategy, partnership development and international positioning.

The company is also strengthening its internal capabilities by onboarding new technical and strategic team members, with particular attention to quantitative, technological and compliance expertise. Ziken Labs will continue to support the venture through its founding team and its capabilities in venture building, product development, technology, branding and go-to-market strategy.

The next few months will focus on advancing the MVP, validating the solution with selected partners and defining the structure of a potential fundraising round. This process will also help Tungstenum refine its product-market fit and identify the most effective routes for institutional distribution.

Tungstenum’s long-term objective is to become a fintech infrastructure layer capable of reducing the time, cost and complexity involved in creating and distributing systematic investment products. By combining modular technology, cross-asset strategies and distribution through established financial operators, the company aims to help institutions bring more transparent, adaptable and scalable investment solutions to market.
