A few hours ago, a crypto whale initiated the transfer of a whopping sum of SOL worth millions of dollars to a wallet of an unknown origin. This movement was triggered after Solana sealed a partnership with the software giant Brave.
The massive transaction was first spotted by Whale Alert, the tracker of large transactions of cryptocurrencies. According to the blockchain tracking service, the unknown whale on the Solana network moved 7,981,517 SOL worth $184,488,088 at the time of the transaction.
Whale Alert tweeted, “7,981,517 SOL (184,488,088 USD) transferred from unknown wallet to unknown wallet.”
A closer look into the first Solana address shows that the whale left it with only 0.002 SOL.
This massive transfer of SOL comes at the time Solana secured a partnership with the software giant Brave to bring Solana decentralized application (Dapp) support on iPhone Operating System (iOS) and Android versions of the Brave browser.
It’s stated in the announcement that Brave users can now connect to Solana DApps via Brave’s in-built crypto wallet without exiting the browser.
According to the head of partnerships at Solana Foundation, Amelia Daly, the new integration is significant because it gives users browser-based connections to Solana programs. “Advances in UX and mobile are among the most important ways to onboard new users,” Amelia Daly noted.

Similarly, Brave CEO and co-founder Brendan Eich, said, “Brave is increasingly the browser of choice for the Web3 world, and with the addition of Solana DApp support on mobile, we’re expanding that reach to another key group that is seeking fast and friendly ways to use their crypto on the go.”
It can be recalled that Brave revealed its plan to partner with Solana back in November 2021 without revealing the details of the planned integration.
