Sharing his latest outlook on X, Steph pointed to a long-standing support trend line, a bullish RSI divergence, and a developing chart pattern that could set the stage for a significant move if key resistance levels are overcome.

Long-Term Trend Line Remains Intact

During the video, Steph first directed attention to XRP’s weekly chart, emphasizing the importance of examining higher timeframes before focusing on short-term market movements.

According to the analyst, a trend line in place since July 2024 continues to provide strong technical support for XRP. He noted that substantial upward moves followed past interactions with this trend line, including rallies in 2024.

Steph stated that XRP is currently trading directly atop the trend line and has closed several weekly candles above it. He described this as a positive development that could support a larger move upside if current conditions remain intact.

The commentator also highlighted a bullish divergence on the weekly Relative Strength Index (RSI). He explained that while XRP’s price recorded a lower low, the RSI formed a higher low, a pattern often viewed by technical analysts as a sign of strengthening momentum.

According to Steph, this divergence suggests that buyers are becoming more active while selling pressure appears to be weakening. Based on that interpretation, he believes XRP could eventually experience a significant reversal.

Short-Term Consolidation Under the Spotlight

While maintaining a bullish outlook on the broader trend, Steph cautioned that traders should closely monitor short-term price action.

He pointed to XRP’s recent breakout from what he described as an ascending triangle or W-pattern formation, noting that the move successfully reached a previously projected target around $1.30. Following that achievement, XRP declined by roughly 6% to 7%.

Steph explained that XRP is now consolidating within what could be interpreted as a bull flag, bull pennant, or falling wedge. He argued that these formations often precede strong directional moves after a breakout.

For downside risk, the analyst identified a support zone between approximately $1.17 and $1.19. He said this area previously acted as significant resistance and could now serve as support if XRP moves lower before resuming its upward trend.

Break Above $1.23 Could Open the Door to Higher Targets

Looking ahead, Steph identified $1.23 as the key resistance level to watch. He stated that one or two four-hour candle closes above that level could confirm a bullish breakout.

If that scenario unfolds, the analyst said his immediate target would be between $1.37 and $1.40. He explained that reaching that zone would place XRP back within a trading range it occupied during the previous three months.

Steph concluded that a successful return to that range could strengthen XRP’s market structure and potentially set the stage for a larger bullish phase if momentum continues to build.

Abs Nassif, host of the Good Evening Crypto podcast, shared data on XRP wallet distribution that raises an important question for retail investors: how little does it actually take to rank among the top holders of the world’s sixth-largest cryptocurrency?

The answer is 2,200 XRP. At the current price of $1.16, that works out to roughly $2,552. That is the threshold to place an investor in the top 10% of XRP holders globally.

How Concentrated is XRP Among Whales?

Nassif’s post states that accounts holding 1 million XRP or more account for “about 93% of the total supply.” That figure requires clarification, as the data he shared tells a different story. Wallets holding over 1 million XRP account for closer to 74% of the total supply, which is itself a significant concentration.

The 93%-94% figure appears in a video Nassif published, in which he references a broader metric. He describes it as the share of XRP’s circulating supply held across fewer than 2,000 wallets in total, across all balance ranges. That is a different measure from the 74% figure, and the two numbers describe different things.

What the Distribution Data Shows

The wallet distribution data Nassif shared is from the XRP rich list. It breaks down XRP holdings across balance ranges. Only 5 accounts hold 1 billion XRP or more. Just 85 wallets hold between 100 million and 1 billion XRP. Combined, the top tiers of holders control an outsized portion of the total supply.

Nassif notes in his video that “millionaire wallets are hitting brand new all-time highs with over 1.5 billion units of XRP being absorbed by token holders in just the last couple of months.” For those eyeing the top 1%, the entry point rises sharply. Joining their ranks requires 46,000 XRP, which equates to approximately $53,360 at today’s price.

Exchange Reserves and Accumulation Trends

Nassif’s video also highlights the movement of XRP off exchanges. He reports that over 720 million XRP were left on digital asset exchanges in just two weeks. Exchange reserves are at multi-year lows, showing deliberate accumulation by major players.

He also covers Ripple’s regulatory positioning. Ripple received conditional approval from the OCC in December 2025 to establish Ripple’s National Trust Bank. The OCC then expanded the powers of national trust banks in April 2026 to include digital asset activities. Nassif suggests this could reduce XRP’s effective circulating supply if Ripple opts to lock up remaining escrow holdings as part of its banking operations.

The SEC and CFTC classified XRP as a commodity in March. This would cement that status under Federal law. Neither development guarantees a 90-day windfall, but they give XRP holders a reason to watch the calendar for another bull run.

Digital Asset Investor built his video around accumulated data. Million-plus wallets steadily added XRP, even as retail sentiment soured. He described the pattern as a sign that large holders are positioning early, ahead of a price move he expects to happen fast rather than gradually.

The Case for an Overnight Revaluation

The core argument rests on tokenization. Citing analyst CharuSan, Digital Asset Investor referenced the March 17 SEC and CFTC classification of XRP as a digital commodity. He laid out a thesis in which trillions of dollars in tokenized assets eventually settle through XRP. He argued that slow, gradual price increases cannot support that volume.

He called an “instantaneous revaluation” a technical necessity before any large-scale tokenization system goes live. He said even 1% of an estimated institutional pool entering the system would push XRP into three-digit territory.

He also referenced comments from former Ripple CTO David Schwartz, who explained that utility-driven price gains eventually attract speculators, who then accelerate the move. He shared a clip of Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse making a related point at MIT, noting that fixed token supply paired with rising institutional demand creates predictable upward pressure.

Ripple’s Business Outside XRP

Digital Asset Investor also highlighted Ripple’s expanding operations. Ripple has acquired a stake in Flutterwave, valuing the African fintech firm at $3.3 billion.

Garlinghouse said Ripple expects to end 2026 with a $1 billion revenue run rate, a figure that excludes the XRP held on Ripple’s balance sheet. RLUSD has also reached a market cap of nearly $1.6 billion.

Price Levels and Regulatory Catalysts

XRP briefly touched $1.25 after a 10% rally before pulling back to $1.20, a level Digital Asset Investor called key support. He noted that XRP social sentiment hit its weakest reading since October 2025 when it experienced a flash crash. However, that level has historically preceded strong rebounds.

Regulatory catalysts remain active, too. Charles Schwab’s digital asset research head said the CLARITY Act could trigger a significant rally if it passes. Galaxy Research puts the odds of passage at 75%, with a presidential signature targeted for early August.

The chart uses XRP’s monthly timeframe and tracks price action stretching back more than a decade. A rising trendline connects major cycle lows and serves as a key structural support level throughout the asset’s history.

He highlighted a zone on the chart showing when XRP pulled back into this ascending support. The asset found support near a horizontal 0.618 Fibonacci retracement level before launching into a strong upward move.
