Shiba Inu (SHIB) Ecosystem Evolution: Notable Developments Since 2021

Shiba Inu is widely renowned for constantly initiating innovations to improve the platform’s overall outlook while boosting its utility and adoption.

However, it seems these inventions have received deserving acknowledgments from the Shiba Inu community, and this could be the reason for Lucie’s tweet targeted at enlightening the public about Shiba Inu’s evolution from inception. For context, Lucie is a Shiba Inu ecosystem official and SHIB marketer.

Shiba Inu (SHIB) Early Days

Right from 2021, when Shiba Inu appeared seemingly overwhelmed by an already established bearish crypto market outlook, the Shiba Inu development team, headed by Shytoshi Kusama, has been on deck, working actively to ensure that SHIB remains afloat by initiating wonderful projects and partnerships, all in a bid to foster Shiba Inu’s growth.

In October 2021, the development team, acknowledging the need to enhance SHIB’s utility, pushed for its adoption by launching Shiboshis, a compilation of 10,000 distinct Non-Fungible-Tokens (NFTs) built on the Ethereum blockchain.

Remarkably, the Shiboshis sold out within 34 minutes of its release, marking the admission of Shiba Inu into the world of Web3 and NFTs.

Doggy Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) And Other Partnerships

The initiation of the Doggy DAO project that introduced voting rights to the Shiba Inu community members happened within the same period that marked the launch of BONE tokens to serve as the gas fees for the upcoming Shiba Inu layer-2 scaling solution, tagged Shibarium in January 2022.

Notably, the Doggy DAO phase 1, labeled as DAO 1 on ShibaSwap, was not officially launched until February 2022, which also witnessed the sealed partnership deal with Welly and another collaboration with John Richmond.

“SHIB,” termed the Shiba Inu metaverse project, was released in April 2022 and commemorated Shiba Inu’s admittance into the world of metaverse cryptos.

Meanwhile, Shiba Eternity went live for public testing in Indonesia in August 2022. On the other hand, November 2022 saw the launch of the revolutionary Shiba Inu game. Rolling out the Wagmi temple and metaverse website came up shortly after Shiba Eternity went live.

Developments In 2023: What Are We Expecting?

The first notable invention for 2023 was in March when Kusama initiated a Shiba Inu Discord channel to foster the community’s interactions. In addition, project collaborations with Tangem Wallets, Vodka, and Rocknroll surfaced subsequently.

The Bad Idea Artificial Intelligence (AI) partnership happened in July 2023. However, the newest invention in the Shiba Inu ecosystem remains the Shibarium Beta Bridge, launched in preparation for the Shibarium mainnet, tagged the L3 solution launch. It is worth noting that the L3 solution launch would likely go live in August during the Blockchain Futuristic Conference in Toronto.
