On 19th January, a Shiba Inu developer, Shytoshi Kusama, tweeted about an idea he just passed to the SHIB Core Team.
According to the developer, the idea, if implemented, is capable of shaking the crypto ecosystem. At the time of writing, the public is still waiting to know what the big idea is all about.

Shytoshi Kusama tweeted, “Just ran a big idea past the Core Team and Alphas. If agreed I think we might just shake up this crypto space, do a good deed and have fun at the same time.”

On the same day, the SHIB developer also shared a tweet from Shiba Inu’s official website of something big brewing for the fast-growing ecosystem.

Is Something Big Really Brewing For Shiba Inu Ecosystem in 2022?
During an AMA session on Twitter in late December 2021, Queenie, the official Discord moderator, hinted at a big surprise in 2022.
Without disclosing further details, Queenie wrote, “We do have a big surprise when we enter 2022. So, that’s going to be the last little tidbit that I drop.”
Shiba Inu Holder Count Hits New Highs
As the Shiba Inu community waits in anticipation for the next big thing in the SHIB ecosystem, the SHIB holder count is quietly increasing.
According to WhaleStats, the number of Shiba Inu holders has reached a whopping 1,150,173, hitting new record highs.
WhaleStats tweeted, “New Record: SHIB reaches an astonishing 1,150,000+ holders. Current Holder Count: 1,150,173. The top 1000 ETH wallets are holding 51,383,815,397,632 SHIB ($1,461,726,189 USD).”

Meanwhile, the crypto market has succumbed to widespread selling pressure as Bitcoin and altcoins pared off the gains accumulated in the prior day.
