Shiba Inu (SHIB) has collaborated with William David Volk, the game creator and former Vice President of Technology at Activision, to consult on its play-to-earn non-fungible token (NFT) game.
The game named Oshiverse, will be the newest and notable extension to the Shiba Inu ecosystem. Shytoshi Kusama, who is the project leader of the decentralized meme coin, shared more details in relation to the new development on 26th November via an article titled “The Future of Gaming is Shib.”

The project leader also stated that Shiba Inu had partnered with AAA gaming company to develop an NFT game, which will likely use the Shiboshi NFTs.
Describing the collaboration with William David Volk, Shytoshi said:
“He’s a true visionary with decades of top-notch high-quality experience on the corporate side, and also on the independent side, having run his own game studio as well.”
SHIB Twitter handle also wrote, “We are proud to welcome William David Volk to Shiba Inu Games!”

David Volk also described the collaboration as follows:
“I am honored to be working with an amazing team on what will become one of the most significant games of all time.”
Volk said the Shiba Inu game will run primarily on iOS and Android devices. The game will possess Shibarium functionality and will be decentralized.
In this regard, Shytoshi said Oshiverse would provide unique opportunities within the Shiba Inu Ecosystem (SHIB, LEASH & BONE), while Shiba Inu Games remains completely separate from this activity.

According to the project leader, attempting to get a listing on mobile stores would “force the SHIB brand into the corporate world and the rules. However, this is a good thing because it allows us to take some of our prized assets and make them defensible.”
There is no specific date for the launch yet. Howbeit, Shytoshi first mentioned Oshiverse on 14th October. Back then, he said he had met with a supposed gaming company to consider launching a SHIB-based game.
