Key Highlights of XRP In Q3 2026

XRP Ledger recorded growth across several key areas in the third quarter of 2026, with stablecoin supply, institutional investment and tokenized real-world assets all posting significant increases.

Global XRP exchange-traded products also attracted more capital, while payment volume and activity on the network’s decentralized exchange improved. However, the positive figures have raised questions about why these developments have yet to translate into stronger XRP price performance.

The quarterly figures were shared in an XRP tweet outlining the network’s performance between July and September. An executive summary from Blockworks provided additional details on the developments, including Ripple’s regulatory progress, new institutional partnerships and changes in network activity.

Stablecoin Supply Crosses $1 Billion

One of the strongest results came from stablecoins issued on the XRP Ledger. Their combined supply increased 25.2% quarter over quarter to $1.03 billion.

RLUSD accounted for most of this growth. Its supply on the XRP Ledger increased 49.7% to $1.01 billion, representing 98.1% of the network’s native stablecoin supply. Across all supported blockchains, RLUSD reached $2.52 billion. Stablecoin transfer volume also increased 39.5% to $14.09 billion.

The report also recorded progress in tokenized real-world assets. Distributed RWA value on the XRP Ledger climbed 29.2% from $386.1 million to $498.7 million. Represented RWA value increased 32.4% to $4.75 billion.

Aviva Investors contributed to this development by launching a tokenized share class of its USD Liquidity Fund, with BNY Mellon serving as custodian. CSD BR also announced plans to mirror investment fund shares from BTG Pactual on the ledger.

XRP Investment Products Attract More Capital

Institutional investment products recorded another positive quarter. Global XRP ETP net inflows increased 39.6% to $355.3 million, while assets under management rose from $2.01 billion to $3.32 billion.

Trading activity also improved across centralized exchanges. Spot trading volume increased 28.2%, while perpetual futures volume grew 28.7%.

Evernorth also received shareholder approval on September 30.

Payment Volume Increases Despite Fewer Transactions

Payment volume on the XRP Ledger increased 4.3% to 42.82 billion XRP during the quarter. However, payment transactions declined 33.6%, while total network transactions fell 8.6% to 203.23 million.

Average daily active addresses remained relatively stable at 16,829, and new addresses increased 12.5%. Native decentralized exchange volume also recorded a 20.2% increase, reaching $614.8 million.

The quarter included four software releases. The updated Lending Protocol entered validator voting on September 30, although lending remained inactive pending approval of three required amendments.

A peer-connectivity incident on July 30 also disrupted some nodes. However, the report confirmed that the ledger never stopped or forked, and users did not lose funds.

Ripple also received full MiCA authorization as a Crypto-Asset Service Provider, allowing its regulated crypto payments offering to extend across the European Economic Area.

XRP Holders Question the Price Performance

Despite the improvements, reactions to the figures revealed some frustration among XRP holders.

Melanie Herrman questioned why the positive developments had failed to produce a stronger XRP price, asking whether XRP was “really just a pile of garbage?”

Michael responded by pointing to the wider cryptocurrency market, explaining that prices across the sector remained under pressure and that Bitcoin continued to influence market movements.

Another commenter, BEBT, expressed a different concern. The user dismissed the focus on stablecoins and ledger developments, insisting that they wanted to hear more about actual XRP usage.

These reactions reflect an important distinction in the quarterly figures. Growth in stablecoins, tokenized assets and institutional investment demonstrates increasing activity across the XRP Ledger ecosystem.
