This Army Veteran Says the XRP Thesis Is Fully Intact. Here’s What It Means

XRP’s current price has left some investors questioning whether the asset can reach the higher valuations that long-term analysts have projected.

Crypto enthusiast, Army Veteran, and Realtor Patrick L Riley, however, continues to stand by his broader XRP thesis, sharing a long-term chart to support his position.

Riley posted the chart on X alongside the statement, “The $XRP thesis is fully intact…” The weekly XRP/USD chart covers price movements from 2014 through 2026 and extends projections into 2027. It contains several long-term trend lines and ascending channels that Riley appears to use to illustrate a potential path for XRP over the coming years.

The chart shows XRP currently trading around $1.24, with the asset positioned near the lower portion of the larger projected structure. Several blue ascending channels extend significantly higher, while a green trend line points toward substantially higher price levels by 2027.

Riley did not provide a separate detailed explanation alongside the chart, leaving the technical structure itself to communicate his longer-term outlook.

Chart Points to Higher Long-Term Levels

The attached chart places XRP’s current price movement within a much broader historical structure. It traces major price movements dating back to 2014 and includes several periods of sharp advances followed by extended consolidation.

The latest portion of the chart shows XRP declining from its 2025 highs and moving within a downward-sloping formation. Despite that recent weakness, Riley’s broader chart maintains a bullish long-term structure.

The projection extends well above XRP’s current market level, with the chart’s upper blue channels reaching into the hundreds of dollars. One green projection also rises toward the upper portion of the chart near the 2027 timeframe.

These projections represent Riley’s technical outlook rather than a confirmed future price path. XRP would need to experience significant appreciation for such levels to become reality.

Community Responses Remain Divided

The responses to Riley’s post showed that not everyone shares his level of confidence. Maximim Thrust responded, “Any moment between now and New Years Day… face melting inbound #XRP,” expressing confidence that a major move could occur before the end of the year.

Other commenters took a considerably more cautious position. Mayyouridolfall said there was nothing wrong with assigning XRP an “$8-13 price target,” while questioning the credibility of much higher projections.

Seneschal offered an even more conservative outlook, saying, “I’m hoping it can get to $4 and I’m out,” while adding that he no longer believes XRP will reach $10.

Jonathan Abraham simply responded, “The math is not mathing,” directly questioning the basis for the projected valuations. SeboFeyzi also dismissed Riley’s outlook, writing, “Don’t believe this nonsense.”

Riley’s post therefore presents a clear contrast between his long-term technical outlook and the increasingly cautious expectations expressed by some XRP holders. For now, his position remains that the broader XRP thesis has not been invalidated despite the asset’s current price performance.
