Is This the Beginning of the XRP Parabolic Move Up? Expert Explains

XRP gained approximately 3% to 4% in recent trading, and Bitcoin climbed above $83,000. The wider crypto market rose around 1.67%. Crypto commentator Austin Hilton sees reasons for the recovery, but he does not think these gains signal the beginning of a parabolic XRP rally.

In a video shared on X, Hilton walked through the factors supporting the market and explained why he believes conditions are not yet in place for a sustained upward move.

Regulation and Sentiment Are Providing Support

Hilton referenced an analysis from CoinMarketCap’s AI tool, which cited Bitcoin’s strength and positive social sentiment as major factors behind the recovery. He agreed with that reading.

He also pointed to regulatory progress in the United States, highlighting the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency’s finalized rules for payment stablecoin issuers under the GENIUS Act. He believes clearer rules could reduce uncertainty for institutions weighing cryptocurrency investments and blockchain adoption.

Economic Pressures Are Holding the Market Back

Hilton noted that the wider economic environment continues to challenge risk assets. He cited persistent inflation, rising fuel costs, and growing concern over job security as factors making investors more cautious.

He also discussed the Federal Reserve’s upcoming October 27-28 meeting. Hilton suggested that interest rate decisions could influence crypto market conditions. He referenced Treasury yields above 5.7% as an example of returns that institutions might weigh against riskier assets like XRP and Bitcoin. Higher yields, in his view, could push more capital toward government securities.

Liquidity Remains the Key Obstacle

Hilton identified limited liquidity as the main barrier to a parabolic move. He described bullish liquidity as capital entering the market specifically to profit from rising prices and said the market currently lacks enough of it.

He contrasted this with bearish liquidity, which supports bets on falling prices. With available capital still limited, Hilton does not think XRP can sustain a major rally for now.

Hilton Cautions Reading Too Much Into Recent Gains

Hilton acknowledged that regulatory progress in the United States and Bitcoin’s recent strength could provide further support for XRP and the wider cryptocurrency market.

However, he believes these positive developments may not be enough to sustain a major rally while liquidity remains limited and economic uncertainty continues to affect investor confidence. Until more capital flows into risk assets and market conditions become more favorable, he expects cryptocurrencies to remain range-bound.
