XRP reserves across all exchanges are climbing. That’s the observation crypto analyst BankXRP (@BankXRP) shared, noting that the trend carries potential consequences for price.
The data comes from CryptoQuant, and the chart covers a full year, from November 2025 to November 2026. It tracks reserves across all exchanges combined, and separately for Binance.
What the Chart Shows
The all-exchanges chart shows XRP reserves rising from around 11.4 billion to approximately 11.8 billion XRP, hitting what the chart labels as the 1Y 99th percentile at 11.79 billion. That is a significant level. Reserves had dipped sharply in early 2026, then recovered steadily. The most recent reading sits at or near the highest point of the entire one-year window.
The Binance chart tells a related story. Binance reserves started near 2.85 billion XRP in late 2025, fell to roughly 2.55 billion by February, and have since stabilized around 2.60-2.65 billion. The recovery there is modest but consistent.
Price, shown on the right axis of both charts, has not followed reserves higher. XRP traded close to $2 in late 2025. After a brief pump in early 2026, it entered an extended decline, falling below $1 in August. It experienced a sharp upward move at the end of that month, and now sits close to $1.30. Reserves and the asset’s price are diverging.
$XRP exchange reserves are climbing again.
That means more XRP is sitting on exchanges, which could add selling pressure if those coins start moving.
Price isn’t exactly helping either. Something I’m watching closely. pic.twitter.com/zCROj9iNzl

Why This is Notable
When exchange reserves rise, more XRP sits in positions where it can be sold. BankXRP noted that climbing reserves “could add selling pressure if those coins start moving.” That is the core concern. Coins held on exchanges are available for immediate sale. A large supply sitting there creates a ceiling that can suppress price recovery.
BankXRP stated, “Price isn’t exactly helping either. Something I’m watching closely.” The combination of gradually rising supply on exchanges and weak price action is what makes this data worth tracking.
Challenging the Data
Moon Lambo (@MoonLamboio), another well-known figure in the community, pushed back on the CryptoQuant figures. He checked XRP exchange reserves independently and found the number near 21 billion, a figure he says “has been hovering around there for a very long time.”
His source showed approximately 20.96 billion XRP, down just 0.04%. If accurate, that would suggest the CryptoQuant data has a discrepancy. BankXRP acknowledged the possibility, responding that it “could be their API not working.”
Another commenter pushed back on the bullish sentiment in the market. He called out influencers who had pushed a supply shock narrative, as the data suggests that exchanges still have a significant supply.
