Finance Expert to XRP Holders: It’s Not Over Yet. Here’s why

XRP delivered a striking move. Starting around August 26, the asset surged over 50% in under three days. Crypto commentator Austin Hilton reported this move in a recent video analysis, but focused on what comes next rather than what already happened.

Hilton noted that the rally has cooled, and XRP now sits in a consolidation phase. He sees this continuing for some time.

XRP is Consolidating in a Tight Range

Hilton identified the current trading range as roughly $1.34 on the low end and $1.47 to $1.50 on the high end. He described this as “chop,” a tight pattern of price action with no clear directional conviction. “We still have a lot of chop in front of us,” he said. He expects XRP to remain in this zone for a while longer.

He thinks the asset is “simply not out of the woods yet.” The 6-hour chart he analyzed showed repeated momentum-up and momentum-down signals, consistent with that range-bound behavior.

October Carries the Most Weight

Hilton pointed to the first two weeks of October as a critical window. He tied this to the 12-month Bitcoin bear cycle, noting that period represents the final stretch of that cycle. He acknowledged not everyone accepts the four-year cycle theory, but his position remains that crypto needs to “get through” that timeframe.

He also flagged a broader liquidity problem. The total crypto market cap sits at $2.68 trillion. At its recent peak roughly a year ago, it reached $3.7 to $3.8 trillion. That gap of approximately $1 trillion reflects a market without enough fresh capital to absorb bearish pressure effectively.

Three Key Dates Are Coming

Hilton highlighted September 15, 16, and 17 as significant. September 15 brings the Senate cloture vote on the CLARITY Act. He described the political environment around it as “a political mess.”

September 16 and 17 bring the Federal Reserve meeting, where Hilton put the odds of a rate hike at around 60% at the time of recording. He believes the market has partially priced this in, but expects additional volatility regardless. “The crypto market does react to what the Federal Reserve does or doesn’t do,” he said.

Some Stability in the Market

Not everything in Hilton’s analysis was cautionary. He noted the market currently sits away from extreme greed. He expressed preference for markets in this middle range, calling it a “middle of the road market condition scenario.”

Hilton’s overall message was one of patience. Q4 is approaching. He thinks October, November, and December are meaningful months for XRP holders.
