Top Investor Says XRP Was Designed For Institutions At Scale. Here’s why

Digital Asset Investor has re-established his long-held position that XRP was created with institutional finance in mind, declaring that Ripple’s technology, partnerships, and industry relationships continue to distinguish it from much of the cryptocurrency market.

In a tweet, he summarized his view with a direct statement: “XRP Was Designed For Institutions At Scale,” while linking to a YouTube video in which he explained why he believes Ripple is positioned to play a central role in the future of digital finance.

Throughout the video, Digital Asset Investor focused on Ripple’s institutional strategy rather than short-term market movements. He maintained that the company’s years of engagement with financial institutions, regulators, and global organizations have created a foundation that few blockchain firms have been able to match

Ripple’s Position in Stablecoins and Regulatory Developments

One of the main topics discussed was Ripple’s growing presence in the stablecoin market through RLUSD. Digital Asset Investor referenced comments from the CEO of Wormhole, a Ripple partner, who suggested that Ripple has the financial resources and industry position to help RLUSD compete despite the network advantages enjoyed by established stablecoin issuers.

According to the analyst, Ripple’s financial strength and long-term planning could allow the company to play a significant role in shaping the next phase of the stablecoin market. He suggested that this outcome would be consistent with Ripple’s broader strategy of building infrastructure for institutional use.

The discussion also turned to the proposed CLARITY Act in the United States. Digital Asset Investor shared his expectation that political disagreements surrounding ethics provisions would ultimately be resolved, allowing the legislation to move forward. He explained that clearer regulatory rules would benefit the digital asset industry and predicted that negotiations would eventually remove the current obstacles preventing the bill’s progress.

XRP Ledger’s Design Supports Institutional Payments

The central point of the video came from an interview clip featuring a Ripple executive, who explained why the XRP Ledger was built differently from many blockchain networks.

The executive stated that the ledger was specifically designed for payments and financial institutions, with native features that reduce the need for developers to build functions such as escrow services, decentralized exchange capabilities, order books, and compliance tools from scratch.

He also explained that the XRP Ledger prioritizes fast settlement times, low transaction costs, and reliability while continuing to evolve through community-driven amendments that focus on safe and scalable adoption. According to the executive, those design principles make the network suitable for payments involving XRP, stablecoins such as RLUSD, and other tokenized assets.

Digital Asset Investor pointed to those comments as evidence supporting his long-standing belief that XRP was intended for institutional-scale financial activity from its earliest design.

Ripple’s Institutional Relationships Remain Central to the Thesis

The analyst also discussed reports that the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) is working with multiple blockchain networks on digital asset initiatives. While acknowledging that no single blockchain can currently process the DTCC’s reported settlement volumes, he argued that Ripple’s inclusion among the organizations involved reinforces its standing within institutional finance.

He contrasted Ripple’s position with newer blockchain projects, stating that the company’s ability to engage with central banks, international organizations, and major financial institutions was not accidental. In his view, those relationships have been built over many years and continue to strengthen Ripple’s position as institutional adoption of blockchain technology expands.

Concluding the discussion, Digital Asset Investor reiterated that the XRP Ledger was designed for institutional use at scale and maintained that Ripple’s global connections remain one of its strongest competitive advantages as the digital asset industry continues to mature.
