XRP has traded in a narrowing range for days. One price level now holds the key to its next move. Crypto analyst Ali Martinez (@ali_charts) shared an hourly chart on X that marks that level. He says a single hourly close could confirm a breakout.
Martinez Targets $1.54
Martinez sees a symmetrical triangle developing on the hourly chart. He wrote, “Now, everything comes down to $1.54.” XRP traded near $1.51 on his chart. That price sits roughly 2% below the level he is watching.
Martinez is waiting for an hourly close above $1.54 to confirm the breakout. If that happens, he says the pattern could trigger a roughly 10% move toward $1.70.
XRP: THE LEVEL TO WATCH$XRP appears to be developing a symmetrical triangle on the hourly chart.
Now, everything comes down to $1.54.
I’m waiting for an hourly close above $1.54 to confirm the breakout.

Reading the Chart
The upper trendline descends from just above $1.60, a level XRP reclaimed during the recent rally. Each rally on the chart has peaked at a lower price. The most recent peaks reached about $1.55 and about $1.535.
The lower trendline rises from near $1.40. Early lows landed near $1.46. Later lows held near $1.47 and $1.48. Buyers have stepped in at higher prices over time.
The two lines converge near $1.50. The price range shrinks as that point approaches. On the chart, the $1.54 level sits close to the upper trendline.
The Path Martinez Sketched
Martinez added a gray line to the chart to show a possible route. It starts with a dip toward the lower trendline, near $1.50. Price then rebounds and crosses the horizontal line at $1.54. The sketch briefly shows XRP retesting that level.
It then climbs steps toward the top of the chart near $1.68. Last time XRP reached this level was in late August. The outlined target of $1.70 sits just above that sketch. It matches the roughly 10% gain Martinez describes from the $1.54 breakout point.

Levels Traders Can Track
The $1.54 level carries the most weight in this setup. An hourly close above it would match Martinez’s condition. The rising lower trendline, near $1.48 to $1.49, gives traders a second reference point.
The trendlines meet in early October. That leaves a narrow window for the pattern to play out. Traders watching XRP can focus on hourly closes near $1.54 in the coming sessions.
