ChartNerd (@ChartNerdTA), a well-known analyst, has drawn the XRP army’s attention to a video he says they must all watch.
XRP has spent the past several weeks navigating a critical technical zone. He laid out exactly what he sees unfolding and what it could mean for the asset’s price.
A Pattern That Has Played Out Before
ChartNerd opens the video by going back to June 2022. XRP set its cycle bottom at that time and then rallied 90% into the blue 50-week EMA. Price then hovered above and between the red 20 EMA and the blue 50 for eight to nine weeks before rejecting. When XRP lost the 20 EMA, it dropped back to range lows.
That move created a macro double bottom, which held structure and led to a breakout. ChartNerd notes that this setup mirrors what he now sees developing. He explains that XRP bottomed in August at $0.98, rallied into the 50-week EMA, and has since spent 10 weeks beneath it.

The 50-Week EMA Remains the Key Level
ChartNerd has held a consistent position throughout recent months. “There’s no push higher until this moving average is cleared.” He adds that losing the 20 EMA opens a path back toward $1 or the lower $1 territory he has been studying.
The structure of the current move, he says, tracks closely with 2022. XRP bottomed, ran into the 50-week EMA, and was rejected. The same sequence has now repeated. The resolution depends on whether XRP can hold the $1.14 to $1.16 range.
Two Scenarios ChartNerd is Watching
If XRP holds that $1.14 to $1.16 zone and forms a higher low, it may not need to revisit the lows reached in August. That would be the more constructive outcome.
However, ChartNerd is clear that the current rejection from the EMAs is significant. He describes it as “quite a strong rejection” and says traders must remain open to a return toward the double bottom target on the daily chart. That level sits at $1.04, which he says was broken down on the daily recently.
What ChartNerd Expects Now
ChartNerd does not dismiss the possibility of further downside. He points to the loss of structure as the reason to stay alert. The 2022 analog showed that even during a sharp correction after a 90% move, the market held structure, printed a double bottom, and broke out.
His view is that the current setup is following a very similar path. The two outcomes he identifies are a higher low forming near $1.14 to $1.16, or a move back down to $1.04.
