Evernorth is preparing to take another major step in the public markets as its leadership gets ready to ring the Nasdaq Closing Bell.
Crypto researcher BankXRP called the event a significant moment for the XRP ecosystem and highlighted the growing presence of XRP-focused companies within traditional financial markets.
BankXRP Counts Down to Evernorth’s Nasdaq Appearance
BankXRP posted on X that Evernorth, trading under the ticker XRPN, is scheduled to ring the Nasdaq Closing Bell at 4:00 PM ET on October 14.
“A big moment for the XRP ecosystem,” BankXRP wrote while sharing the countdown to the ceremony.
Evernorth began trading on Nasdaq earlier this week after finalizing its business combination with Armada Acquisition Corp. II.
The closing bell ceremony allows Evernorth to mark that transition alongside Nasdaq and the broader financial community.
Investors Take Different Views
Several responses to BankXRP’s post focused on what the ceremony could actually mean for investors.
Yoda Jr said the appearance of an XRP treasury company at Nasdaq demonstrates how far the sector has progressed. The commenter added that publicly listed companies can give traditional investors a more familiar way to gain exposure to the XRP ecosystem through standard brokerage accounts.
Why You Mad offered a different perspective, questioning whether the ceremony would have any meaningful effect on the price of XRPN or XRP. The commenter dismissed the event as having little direct impact on either asset.
Coin_Scoop also urged investors to look beyond the ceremony itself. According to the commenter, the closing bell provides visibility, while Evernorth’s future reporting and disclosures will indicate how the company performs.
Evernorth Holds a Large XRP Treasury
Evernorth entered the public market with approximately 473 million XRP and $300 million in gross cash proceeds. The company has positioned itself as the largest publicly traded pure-play XRP treasury company.
Unlike a passive vehicle that holds an asset, Evernorth intends to manage its treasury. The company plans to pursue opportunities involving XRP, decentralized finance, and the XRP Ledger while working toward increasing its XRP per share over time.
The company also has backing from several established names in the digital asset industry, including Ripple, SBI Group, Pantera Capital, Kraken, GSR and Arrington Capital.
XRPN and XRP Are Not the Same Asset
The attention surrounding Evernorth also makes it important to distinguish XRPN from XRP.
XRPN represents shares in Evernorth, while XRP remains the separate digital asset held by the company. Evernorth’s public listing therefore gives investors a stock-market route to an XRP-focused treasury strategy, but the closing bell itself does not create immediate demand for XRP.
The longer-term impact of this development will depend on how Evernorth manages its treasury, reports its holdings, and executes its strategy as a publicly traded company.
