Terra Classic (LUNC) Claims Top Gainer Spot for the First Time in Over a Month

Terra Classic sees renewed interest from crypto investors as its native token LUNC made it to the top position as per best-performing assets at a particular 24-hour timeframe today.  

According to an interesting update shared by a notable validator operator on the Terra Classic network, Classy Crypto, LUNC was the top-gaining crypto asset on Coinmarketcap at some point today. 

Notably, this was the first time in over a month that LUNC retained a position on the list of best-performing assets in terms of price appreciation within a 24-hour timeframe. 

Per the data shared at that time, LUNC rose to the $0.000131 price mark which indicated a 6.93% price increase in a 24-hour timeframe. This led to the community-driven token being ranked as the top-gaining asset among 100 popular cryptocurrencies including EOS, MKR, and AAVE. 

Likewise, its market capitalization appreciated significantly, surpassing $772 million while the volume of LUNC traded in that 24-hour range was over 442 billion tokens ($56.5 million).

It bears noting that LUNC staged this modest rally earlier today amid a market-wide correction as BTC faces a roadblock at $28k with Dogecoin (DOGE) slumping by over 10% as Elon Musk changed the Twitter logo to the original. 

The LUNC community longs to see the asset reclaiming the $0.0002 level which was last reached in early February. Terraport launch and its mega LUNC burn plans could fuel the next big rally for LUNC as the Terra Classic layer-2 DeFi project promised to burn billions of LUNC tokens per week. 

As published, a senior member of the Terraport development team, Classy Crypto, hinted that the first Terraport-engineered LUNC burns would come sooner than later. Additionally, he said the goal of the project is to put LUNC in the direction of $1.
