Shiba Inu and Welly’s joined forces in February 2022 to merge blockchain tech with Welly’s successful fast-food business with the help of the Shiba Inu lead, Shytoshi Kusama. This aims to offer innovative, healthy, and delicious dining experiences.

To solidify the partnership, Shiba Inu acquired a 15% stake in Welly’s fast-food chain in April 2022. This collaboration has gone beyond just branding, with Welly’s accepting SHIB cryptocurrency and planning to integrate with Shiba Inu’s Shibarium blockchain solution.

26.1 Billion SHIB Burned In April

According to the SHIB tokens burn tracker Shibburn, a total of 26.1 billion Shiba Inu tokens were sent to the inferno wallets in April, where they will remain permanently inaccessible.

According to some Shiba Inu community members, 26 billion in a month may look small, but this is just the beginning of the SHIB burn initiative. They believe that the burn rate per month will increase in the subsequent months.

It’s worth noting that about 21 billion SHIB that was destroyed in April came in days after the official launch of the much-anticipated SHIB Burn Portal. This indicates that the initiative is already bringing the expected outcome.

1.07 Billion SHIB Burned in 24 Hours

Shibburn also reported that the burn has already started in the month of May as the Shiba Inu community managed to destroy 1.07 billion SHIB within the last 24 hours.

Welly Plans To Burn SHIB Tokens

It’s also good news that Welly, the first-ever SHIB-themed fast food restaurant, has come up with the future burn plans of Shiba Inu (SHIB).

The Italy-based fast food Company officially disclosed that they aim to contribute towards SHIB burns in different ways in the near future. For instance, the firm promises to allocate 2% of the total net profit collected from all the stores for burning SHIB.

A few days ago, Shiba Inu developer Shytoshi Kusama announced a partnership with the Naples-based burger joint.

After the official announcement, the burger joint went on a full rebranding, making the second-largest meme token its official symbol. As expected, Welly’s also announced that it would accept the digital token SHIB as a payment option.

How Shiba Inu Community Members Could Participate

Shiba Inu community could take part in managing the fast-food chain via a decentralized autonomous organization known as DOGGY DAO.

Also, the Shiba Inu team believes that Welly’s, as a healthy fast food restaurant, is capable of challenging the leading food chains in the industry, including McDonald’s and Burger King.

The one-store restaurant, which launched in 2021, will also offer its customers non-fungible tokens (NFTs) to gain access to “exclusive benefits.”

Shiba Inu (SHIB) has advanced into “in-real-life” products by announcing a partnership with Welly’s, a new hyper-quality agile blockchain-based fast-food chain, based in Naples, Italy.

Welly’s is also recognized as a McDonald’s competitor or simply dubbed as “the Clown Killer.” The partnership will be facilitated by Shibarium, the Shiba Inu Layer 2 Scaling Solution that is expected to launch early this year.

Shibarium, the much-awaited Layer 2 solution, is expected to make SHIB transactions much cheaper and more accessible. This makes Shibarium perfect for the new partnership.

Details of the Partnership as Shared By Shytoshi Kusama

Shytoshi Kusama, the pseudonymous founder of the popular meme token, Shiba Inu (SHIB), shared further details about the partnership with Welly’s via a blog post on Medium.

According to the report, Kusama isn’t interested in partnering with big but centralized firms such as McDonald’s, Burger King, among others, for two important reasons, which are: Low Standard Food and Agility.

The blog post reads in part as follows:

“Welly’s is a “burger joint” but we understand the importance of having vegetarian, vegan, and “healthy” fast food options. Upon the opening of our flagship store, we will introduce more options to cater to these needs.

“Moreover on agility, within 1 week, upon the partnership being put into place, Welly’s was able to complete a full rebrand of their store, including the mascot, creating new eco-friendly packaging, and taking suggestions from yours truly about marketing, menu, and strategy.”

In the blog post, Kusama showcased his love for Indian Market and explained the significance of the Chicken clucking sound 0heard in the teaser:

“For instance, because we love our India market so much, we shifted some of our visual communications from being beef centric to chicken centric (cluck in the video!) to compensate for the religious practices of one of our largest markets.”

According to Shiba Inu founder, now that Welly’s is powered by SHIB, it’s perfectly fit to scale globally with its proven high-quality food and excellent backend practices.

Kusama added that he’s currently in discussions with Welly’s to release a few new stores within the next two years in order to boost its competitiveness.

SHIB founder also stated that Shiba Inu, Leash, Bone, and Shibarium will be integrated into Welly’s business model. Through this, the Shiba Inu community will be able to deploy new stores via making choices in the Doggy Dao, buying non-fungible tokens (NFTs) for exclusive benefits, or just enjoying good food and sharing their vision with those who still tag Shiba Inu (SHIB) as a meme token.

Shytoshi Kusama concluded that more announcements that are bigger than this are coming soon.
