Crypto analyst XRP Captain (@UniverweTwenty) shared a weekly chart that places DOGE at a critical point, supported by multi-year trendlines and Fibonacci levels. His projection outlines a sharp upward expansion that could follow a confirmed breakout.

The chart shows the asset’s price compressing along a rising support line that has held since 2021. At the same time, a descending resistance line caps prior rallies. This structure forms a wedge as the asset moves toward a breakout. DOGE now trades close to the lower boundary, positioning for a potential move higher if buyers step in with strength.

Key Levels Defining the Setup

The chart includes Fibonacci retracement levels that provide clear markers for price progression. The 0.236 level sits near the current range and acts as immediate support. Above that, the 0.382, 0.5, and 0.618 levels mark zones where price previously reacted during past cycles.

Although they share similar origins as meme-driven assets, Shiba Inu and Dogecoin differ significantly in market structure, adoption dynamics, and perceived long-term viability. These differences have led to diverging price expectations among forecasting platforms, resulting in a wide range of potential outcomes for investors considering either asset.

Current Market Positioning

Currently, Dogecoin trades at approximately $0.09099, giving it a market capitalization of roughly $15.34 billion. This valuation finds it in the ninth place among all cryptocurrencies by market cap and firmly establishes it as the largest meme-focused digital asset. Shiba Inu, on the other hand, trades near $0.000005937 with a total valuation of about $3.43 billion, ranking it 27th overall and second in the meme coin category.

Based on these prices, a $2,000 investment would yield very different token quantities. Investors would acquire around 22,119 DOGE at current Dogecoin prices, while the same amount allocated to Shiba Inu would translate to approximately 342.58 million SHIB tokens. While these figures highlight SHIB’s lower unit price, the eventual value of either position depends entirely on how they perform.

Possible Price Scenarios for 2030

Several market forecasting platforms have released long-term estimates for both assets, with projections varying significantly. Changelly estimates that Shiba Inu could reach a peak price of $0.0000625 by 2030, implying a gain of about 970% from current levels. Telegaon presents a more optimistic outlook, placing SHIB’s potential high at $0.000124, which would represent a price increase of approximately 2,024%.

Dogecoin forecasts show even broader upside expectations. Changelly forecasts a possible price of $1.02 by 2030, equating to a 1,028% rise. Telegaon’s estimate extends significantly higher, suggesting that DOGE could reach $4.06, a 4,390% increase from current levels.

If these scenarios were to materialize, the financial outcomes would differ significantly. Under Changelly’s projections, a $2,000 SHIB investment could grow to around $21,411, while Telegaon’s forecast places the same holding near $42,480. For Dogecoin, projected values range from approximately $22,561 to as much as $89,803, depending on which estimate proves accurate.

When comparing potential upside, Dogecoin appears to offer a more favorable risk-reward profile based on projected returns. Beyond price targets, broader factors may also influence long-term performance. 

Dogecoin continues to benefit from public endorsement by Elon Musk, who recently reiterated intentions tied to future DOGE-related initiatives. Additionally, institutional interest has begun to emerge, with Dogecoin-linked exchange-traded products reportedly accumulating more than $20 million in assets under management.

Shiba Inu faces a different challenge. The project lacks comparable institutional exposure and does not currently have an approved or pending spot ETF. Moreover, uncertainty has increased following reports that lead developer Shytoshi Kusama reduced direct involvement to pursue ventures outside the cryptocurrency sector. These factors have raised questions regarding governance continuity and long-term development.

These expectations for Dogecoin and Shiba Inu are very much speculative, but current projections and structural considerations indicate that Dogecoin may be better positioned for sustained appreciation through 2030. ]]> Dogecoin has recorded a significant surge in futures trading activity despite broader market weakness. This event has drawn attention from investors, prompting questions about the token’s short-term outlook. 

Dogecoin initially began last week on a high note, with gains that extended into Tuesday. However, the rally went off course mid-week after reaching a high of $0.127. This was due to increased selling pressure from traders scrambling to lock in profit. The token experienced further decline, which corresponded with the broader market downturn. 

Traders Opt For Low-Risk Investment 

Dogecoin’s recent trading activity reflects a reduced appetite for risk among traders across the global financial market. Investors have been seen shifting from higher-risk assets and investment vehicles, including cryptocurrencies. This new attitude of playing it safe has ultimately contributed to increased losses in the crypto market.

According to the derivatives market, more than $509 million in crypto futures positions were liquidated during last week’s session. These liquidations represented a 57% increase compared to the previous trading day. 

A large portion of the liquidation involved long positions, indicating that many traders had been positioned for continued price appreciation before the market turned downwards.

Although the U.S Federal Reserve’s decision to hold the interest rate steady was widely expected, investors were still eager to play it safe by moving away from riskier assets, resulting in increased selling pressure across the crypto market. 

According to data from CoinMarketCap, Dogecoin is currently trading at $0.1059, reflecting a slight daily gain of 0.24% and a 12.56% decline in the past week. Monthly performance also remains negative, with no evidence of the recent upward momentum. 

Reduced Whale Activity Signals Loss of Confidence

CoinGlass data shows Dogecoin open interest at $1.27 billion, signaling a 4.86% increase from its initial 1.38% loss on the 28th of January. Before this week’s increase, Dogecoin’s whale activity dropped by 94.6%, showing large transactions of over $1 million dropping from 109 to 6 in the last month.

Similarly, Dogecoin’s spot trading volume fell by 13% during last week’s session, and it remains down by roughly 12% at the time of writing.

Despite negative trends across most Dogecoin metrics, futures activity showed a significant exception. CoinGlass reported that futures volume on BitMEX surged over 10,000% in a 24-hour window during last week’s trading session, reaching approximately $200.98 million. 

From a technical perspective, immediate support levels are at $0.11 and $0.10 if prices continue to decline, while a potential rebound could face resistance near $0.133, aligned with the 50-day moving average.

Dogecoin is currently showing mixed signals. When the negative on-chain metrics and spot trading are compared to increasing futures volume, it signals uncertainty in the token’s short-term outlook. This uncertainty reinforces the need for careful observation and risk management.

It suggested that if XRP experienced the same percentage increase as Dogecoin during its Musk-fueled rallies, the token could theoretically rise from $3.00 to approximately $175.92.

However, Gemini stressed that the figure is hypothetical and should not be treated as a forecast. Cryptocurrency prices are influenced by multiple variables, including regulatory decisions, institutional adoption, and overall market sentiment.

For XRP in particular, one key factor has been the resolution of Ripple’s legal battle with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, which has provided greater regulatory clarity for the asset.

This clarity may encourage banks and payment providers to expand their use of XRP in cross-border settlements, strengthening its role as a utility-driven token. Combined with broader market dynamics, such as potential rallies in Bitcoin and Ethereum that typically lift other altcoins, XRP could see stronger growth regardless of Musk’s involvement.

While Musk’s influence on Dogecoin is undeniable, applying the same trajectory to XRP is highly speculative. Even so, if he were to shift attention toward XRP, the token would likely benefit from increased exposure and retail participation. When combined with its established role in payment systems and improving regulatory position, such a scenario could significantly enhance its market profile.
