Software Developer Says XRP Will Pick Up Again. Here’s why

Software engineer Vincent Van Code believes traders are missing the real story behind the CLARITY Act. In an X post, he stated that most retail traders do not grasp its scale. In his words, the market “was never priced into” this legislation, and he believes that gap will matter more than people realize.

The Case for XRP

Van Code centers his argument on XRP. He calls the Clarity Act a long-term green light for public Ripple and XRP-based services. He says this opens the door to real liquidity provisioning, which drives sustained demand rather than a short-term price spike.

He separates two timelines. Without the Clarity Act, he says the market “still going to keep going.” But he argues the real accumulation phase won’t start for months if the legislation stalls. That distinction matters for anyone trying to time an entry.

Explaining the Current Downturn

Van Code addresses the recent price drop directly. He attributes it to short-term traders who expected instant returns. He describes them as fanboys who sell “because they didn’t 100x their money overnight.” In his view, this selling pressure is temporary, not a signal that the thesis has failed.

He also warns traders to brace for volatility. He expects the negotiation process around the Clarity Act to swing prices sharply in both directions before any resolution arrives.

Pushback From Replies

Not everyone agrees with his framing of US regulatory delay as a hidden opportunity. A commenter named RanNel pointed to global regulatory progress, noting that Europe, Russia, and Japan already operate under frameworks like MiCA.

RanNel asked why major US institutions like DTCC, SWIFT, and NASDAQ haven’t shown more visible movement, writing “some movement should already be happening” and asking, “what am I missing.”

Another reply took a harsher tone. A user named X Rated dismissed the entire argument, calling it “cope that people say after no clarity act.” That comment cuts against Van Code’s core claim that the market hasn’t caught up yet.

Weighing the Disagreement

The exchange highlights a real split in how traders interpret regulatory delay. Van Code treats the wait as a setup for a bigger future move. RanNel treats it as evidence that the US lags behind global peers who already have working frameworks. X Rated treats the whole argument as a rationalization built to explain away disappointment.

Each position rests on different assumptions about how markets price in regulation. For now, the disagreement remains unresolved, and the Clarity Act’s legislative path will likely determine which interpretation holds up.
