The number of Shiba Inu addresses has reached a new all-time high, as the community anticipates the mainnet launch of Shibarium, the project’s layer-2 blockchain.
According to data from IntoTheBlock, there are now over 3.51 million addresses holding SHIB, up from 3.23 million in May. This represents a 22% increase in just the past week.

Shiba Inu (SHIB) Team Welcomes New Holders
The spike in the number of Shiba Inu addresses has stirred reactions from enthusiasts of the cryptocurrency. The team behind the crypto asset also reacted to the development, tweeting that the community has been growing at “warp speed.”
“We’ve just reached an all-time high in the number of addresses holding SHIB, witnessing a remarkable 22% increase in the past week,” the team said. “Welcome to all new holders!”
Moreover, the number of non-empty Shiba Inu wallets also reached new highs this week. Data from IntoTheBlock shows that a whopping 1.24 million addresses are holding SHIB. This figure accounts for 35.3% of all Shiba Inu holders.
Shibarium Launch Expected to Drive Further Growth
Several factors can be attributed to the influx of new Shiba Inu holders. However, the upcoming launch of Shibarium is likely the biggest driver of growth.
