Ripple Discloses Third Wave Winners of its $250 Million NFT Creator Fund

Ripple, the Silicon Valley tech company, has unveiled the winners of the third edition of its $250 million Creator Fund, encouraging more independent NFT creators to apply during the next edition (Wave 4) to stand a chance of becoming a beneficiary of the funding program.

This development comes about four months after the leader in enterprise blockchain and crypto solutions unveiled the second wave of independent creators to receive funding for their Web3, non-fungible token (NFT) projects through Ripple’s Creator.

Announced last October, the Wave 2 winners included 9LEVEL9, Anifie, Capital Block, Cross-Metaverse Avatars, NFT Master, SYFR Project, and Thinking Crypto.

Ripple Creator Fund Welcomes Third Wave of Winners

Per an update on Friday, the San Francisco-based cross-border payment firm, Ripple which recently committed $1M for the Turkey-Syria earthquake relief, introduced the seven winners of the third edition of its one-of-a-kind Creator Fund.

Notably, in the just-concluded Wave 3 of Ripple’s Creator Fund, creators focused on blending physical and digital experiences with real-world utility.

The seven independent and visionary non-fungible token (NFT) creators that emerged as winners, out of thousands of applicants included Hot Import Nights, Adrian Balastegui, Emporio Records, Mike Sotirakos, Natacha Einat, Robert Chew, and TraumAmnesia.

While Hot Import Nights wants to leverage NFTs as tickets to access IRL events and exclusive merchandise only available to NFT holders, Emporio Records, an independent record label intends to use NFTs to engage with fans by offering exclusive access to album releases, and pre-purchases for concert tickets.

In response to being enlisted as a winner of the Ripple funding program, Romain Lohezic of TraumAmnesia said, “The arrival of NFTs is a total game changer for creators. The speed of transfer, carbon neutrality, and simplicity of the XRPL are major pluses. As an artist,  I’m very happy to participate in the development of this use case at scale.”
