Pundit to XRP Holders: Fasten Your Seatbelts, Wall Street Is Coming for XRP

The sound echoing through financial markets is not mere speculation—it’s the unmistakable rhythm of Wall Street’s footsteps approaching XRP. After years of being viewed as a cryptocurrency caught in regulatory crossfire, XRP is now entering a new phase where institutional players are moving in with products designed to capture mainstream investment flows.

For retail holders, this means both unprecedented opportunity and the kind of volatility only large-scale capital inflows can create.

Institutional Heavyweights Enter the Arena

Financial commentator John Squire brought renewed attention to the trend in a widely shared X post, underscoring how a growing roster of ETF issuers and asset managers are lining up behind XRP.

His spotlight has helped frame what could be a defining shift: Wall Street no longer sees XRP as speculative fringe—it now regards it as a product worthy of regulated exchange-traded vehicles.

The list of names is striking. ProShares, a well-known ETF provider, already launched its 2x Daily XRP leveraged product (UXRP), opening the door for traders seeking amplified exposure through traditional markets.  21Shares offers a regulated XRP investment product (AXRP) in Europe, providing investors with exposure to XRP outside of the US market.

Major financial players such as Franklin Templeton and WisdomTree have filed for XRP-linked ETFs, bringing significant resources and institutional capital to the table.

The Regulatory Runway and First Movers

A critical development came in September when REX-Osprey launched XRPR, the first U.S.-listed spot XRP ETF. This milestone not only gave investors direct, regulated exposure to XRP but also set a precedent for future approvals. With Grayscale and other major issuers already having applications pending, the stage is set for a wave of similar product approvals.

The SEC’s evolving stance on crypto ETFs is central to this trend. After years of resistance, the regulator has gradually approved products tied to major cryptocurrencies. XRP is set to benefit from the policy shift, positioning it for potential growth.

What XRP Holders Should Expect

For long-term holders, Wall Street’s embrace of XRP could be transformative. Institutional entry typically enhances liquidity, narrows trading spreads, and legitimizes assets in the eyes of traditional finance. Yet, this influx also brings new dynamics: large block trades, algorithmic strategies, and rebalancing tied to ETF flows.

The road ahead will likely be marked by surges of capital inflows followed by bouts of sharp volatility. Custody solutions, transparent on-chain reserves, and regulatory clarity will be decisive factors in shaping how stable this institutional adoption becomes.

A New Era for XRP

John Squire’s observations serve as a timely reminder that the “XRP train” is no longer fueled only by retail enthusiasm. With major asset managers stepping aboard, Wall Street is making its presence felt in ways that could redefine the asset’s trajectory.

For XRP holders, the message is clear: buckle up. The next phase of XRP’s journey is being driven by the world’s most powerful financial engines.
