Over Half a Billion SHIB Burned in 24 hours As 176 Million Shiba Inu Tokens Destroyed in Last Hour

According to Shibburn, the Shiba Inu-focused platform that tracks SHIB burn transactions on Etherscan, over half a billion SHIB tokens have been sent to dead wallets over the last 24 hours. While 176 million SHIB tokens were burned in the past hour.

600.7 Million SHIB Burned in the last 24 hours

As reported by Shibburn, over the last 24 hours, Shiba Inu community members have collectively sent a whopping 600,729,245 SHIB tokens to several dead-end wallets, where no one can access them. According to the report, the tokens were burned in five different transactions.

The largest single transfer on that list carried 595,232,837 SHIB. This sum in crypto was moved to an inferno wallet from the 0x95a9bd206ae52c4ba8eecfc93d18eacdd41c88cc address a couple of hours ago.

This massive sum in SHIB tokens was destroyed by Travis Johnson’s SHIB burn games Twitter account on 17th March. That was a scheduled token burn, and the destroyed amount of SHIB tokens was worth $13,356.

Shibburn tweeted, “In the past 24 hours, there have been a total of 600,729,245 SHIB tokens burned and 5 transactions.”

176 Million SHIB Destroyed in the Last Hour

Shibburn also reported moments ago that a total of 176,035,016 SHIB tokens were burned in the last hour.

“In the past hour, there have been a total of 176,035,016 $SHIB tokens burned and 1 transaction. Shib Army [Visit pages to burn transaction info on the Shibburn website as they get tweeted for more burn.”

An Ethereum Whale Grabs 271.3 billion SHIB

On Wednesday, an anonymous crypto whale bought a whopping 271,370,420,624 SHIB worth relatively $6,143,035 at the time of the purchase.

Since 17th March, when the token managed to reach a local peak of $0.00002281, the SHIB price has dropped 1.02%, trading at $0.00002224 at the time of press.
