NBA legend Michael Jordan’s Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) To Launch on XRP Ledger

As a report has it, Rare Air Media, the company behind Michael Jordan’s graphic autobiography For the Love of the Game, is foraying into the non-fungible token (NFT) sector.

The company, in collaboration with VSA Partners, Ripple’s Creator Fund’s primary creative agency partner, will launch NFTs on the XRP Ledger. This collection of NFTs includes the one-of-a-kind collection of digital assets dedicated to former NBA player Michael Jordan’s life and career.

The first set of NFTs is expected to be available in the second quarter of 2022, and will comprise an intimate selection of original, momentous photos of Michael Jordan, coupled with his thoughts and observations that brought about the images.

On 7th April, Ripple tweeted, “We’re excited to announce that through our Creator Fund partnership with VSA Partners, Rare Air Media is going to design, develop and market a collection of one-of-a-kind NFTs on the XRP Ledger covering former-NBA star Michael Jordan’s life and career.

Following the emergence of NFTs, the technology has received massive adoption, especially among celebrities in the entertainment and sports industry.

From celebrities such as Snoop Dogg and Paris Hilton to professional athletes like LeBron James, and major brands including Disney and the Grammys, the media and entertainment space has been among the earliest adopters of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) technology.
