Market Strategist Says A Massive XRP Move Is Here. Here’s why

Levi Rietveld, creator of Crypto Crusaders, told his audience to pay close attention to a development he believes could reshape XRP’s trajectory. A major international bank has stepped onto the XRP Ledger.

Standard Chartered Launches RLUSD Custody

Standard Chartered officially launched institutional custody services for Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin on the XRP Ledger on October 12. The bank operates through its Dubai International Financial Centre branch and supports XRP Ledger operations for qualified institutional clients. This gives major financial institutions a regulated, bank-grade entry point into the XRP ecosystem.

Rietveld called it exactly what he had been waiting for. “A major bank just made a big move on the XRP ledger,” he told his audience, “and this could be much larger than people think.”

The Three-Way Partnership Taking Shape

The custody launch is part of a larger arrangement. Standard Chartered is now working with Ripple and LMAX Group to develop a collateral mirroring model.

Under this model, institutions holding RLUSD at Standard Chartered would be able to use those holdings as trading collateral on LMAX Group’s institutional venues. The underlying tokens stay in bank custody throughout. No transfer to the trading venue is required.

LMAX Group added RLUSD to its list of trading instruments in 2025, and it processed $8.2 trillion in institutional exchange volumes that year. Ripple committed $150 million in financing to LMAX in January 2026. The addition of Standard Chartered’s custody infrastructure connects the banking system directly to that trading environment through RLUSD.

XRP Ledger Deepens Into Institutional Finance

Rietveld pointed to the XRP Ledger’s growing role as the key development here. “We’re talking about bringing the XRP ledger technology deeper into institutional finance,” he said. Real-world utility for the ledger increases as more regulated institutions build on top of it.

If institutional demand for ledger activity grows, it strengthens the demand for XRP, which serves as a bridge asset and a core part of the infrastructure. Standard Chartered’s entry as a globally significant bank at the center of RLUSD’s institutional adoption on the ledger XRP powers.

Rietveld’s Price Outlook

Rietveld is direct about where he thinks this leads for XRP’s price. “Moves like this are what gives me a lot of confidence that in the next bull run, XRP is going to hit $10 or more,” he said.

He ties institutional infrastructure growth to long-term price appreciation. As banks, prime brokers, and institutional trading venues deepen their commitment to the XRP Ledger, the asset’s utility case strengthens with each new participant.
