Additionally, this NFT initiative and strategic partnership mark the company’s entry into the Web3 space. Per an announcement released on the company’s website, the impending Lotus NFT collection will be created in-house by Lotus Design. More so, each NFT will be designed to give acknowledgment to the pioneering spirit of the company.
Through the expected NFT collection launch, Lotus Cars aims to give a new experience to its customers while ushering them into emerging digital technology. Also, it hopes to create an exciting community consisting of Lotus customers, NFT collectors, and crypto enthusiasts.
Furthermore, Lotus promises unique bonuses exclusive to holders of the upcoming Lotus NFTs. While the date for the launch remains to be determined, the company urges the public to anticipate progress updates later this month.
Why Ripple (XRP) and NFT PRO?
Non-fungible tokens have gained wider popularity on the Ethereum and Solana blockchains. However, Lotus has chosen to stick with Ripple for the provision of technical support. The company seeks to leverage the ultra-fast, low-cost, and carbon-neutral XRP Ledger (XRPL) blockchain for its Lotus NFT collection.
Furthermore, Simon Lane, Director, Lotus Advanced Performance, commented:
“Lotus has always been about cutting-edge innovation, and entering the Web3 space in this way, with a truly customer-focused NFT programme, is another excellent example of that. Partnering with NFT PRO, a real expert in this field, means we are guaranteed to deliver truly memorable content for a new digital community of Lotus fans.”
“NFT PRO has been chosen by Lotus to help it make a seamless entry into the world of Web3,” Simon Lane added.
On the other hand, NFT PRO CEO, Christian Ferri said;
“It’s a privilege to partner with such an iconic British automotive brand and to help the Lotus Advanced Performance team connect with a new generation of fans. This announcement is only the beginning of this collaboration.”
