Jake Claver, financial strategist and Chairman of Digital Ascension Group, says the mood across the XRP community tells him something significant.
“Everyone is beat up,” he wrote on X. He says he has spoken to many people who are at a moment of despair. His read on that sentiment is not bearish. It is the opposite.
“This is what sentiment at the bottom of all the cycles feels like,” Claver wrote. He added that widespread belief that XRP is heading lower has him “feeling like the bull market is starting.”
Everyone is beat up.
I've talked to so many people that are at the moment of despair in the last couple days.
This is what sentiment at the bottom of all the cycles feels like.
It has me feeling like the bull market is starting, because everyone thinks it's going lower.

Anticipating the Next Bull Run
Several community members agreed with Claver. One said he is feeling the shift and hopes Claver’s analysis of the market is right. One response stood out. ChartNerd (@ChartNerdTA), a well-known crypto analyst, pointed out that many followers had assumed the bull run was beginning in 2025, when Claver predicted that XRP would hit $1,000.
Claver was criticized for this prediction at the time, and XRP spent the second half of 2025 in an extended decline. XRP moved steadily toward $1, and ChartNerd acknowledged the missed target. However, he still sees the current environment as a major opportunity, noting that bear markets are where wealth is built.
Another community member attributed the exhaustion to broader economic conditions, citing six years of rising prices across essentials including gas, food, and insurance. He described the fatigue as real but said he is ready for a change.
Context Behind the Exhaustion
The XRP community has genuine reasons for frustration. The CLARITY Act, a major crypto market structure bill that XRP holders have closely followed, missed its Senate vote before the August recess. The Senate had 51 confirmed votes but fell short of the 60 needed as negotiations over key provisions remain unresolved.

Despite all of this, XRP has held above $1 for over 600 consecutive days. That is the longest stretch in the asset’s history. The price has not collapsed, and Claver believes a reversal is imminent.
What Comes Next?
Claver’s post arrives at a moment when the XRP community is tired but not broken. Legislative progress is slow, and sentiment is low, but XRP is still standing. Those conditions are exactly what Claver says precede a bull market. His message to holders is to read the room carefully. The despair is the signal.
