A recent analysis by crypto expert Del Crxpto (@DelCrxpto) highlights a series of interactions between Shiba Inu (SHIB) and Ethereum (ETH) that suggest a deeper connection than previously thought. This connection centers around the co-founders of each project, Vitalik Buterin of Ethereum and Shytoshi Kusama of Shiba Inu.
Del Crxpto points to a significant donation of SHIB tokens by Buterin to Crypto Relief India, a humanitarian organization focused on tackling the COVID-19 pandemic. The staggering sum of $1.5 billion worth of SHIB was donated, with Crypto Relief India subsequently liquidating a portion to raise $460 million for relief efforts.

This wasn’t the only instance of Buterin’s involvement with the Shiba Inu community. In 2021, he contributed over $150,000 to a wallet endorsed by Shiba Inu’s leadership to aid victims of the Turkish earthquakes. Additionally, the SHIB army participated in a charitable initiative established by Buterin in response to the global pandemic.
These actions prompted Del Crxpto to delve into the community’s initial perception of these interactions. Many dismissed them as coincidental. However, Del Crxpto argues that these events, when viewed together, paint a different picture. He believes the signs were obvious all along, and suggests a deeper relationship between Buterin and the Shiba Inu ecosystem.
This sentiment is echoed by other Shiba Inu enthusiasts who speculate on the nature of this connection. One user pointed to a potential connection between Buterin and Kusama, based on an unconfirmed early photograph featuring the latter. He believes that Buterin knows who Shytoshi is, and he draws attention to the 410 trillion SHIB sent to Buterin, asking how Shytoshi or the SHIB team got the address.

The Ethereum creator eventually burned almost all his tokens in 2021. He reportedly burned 90% of his SHIB holdings, valued at over $6.5 billion at the time. This act not only reduced the overall supply of SHIB but also demonstrably boosted the value of the remaining tokens. Furthermore, Buterin pledged to donate his remaining SHIB to charitable causes, potentially influencing the future direction of the Shiba Inu ecosystem.
These, coupled with the substantial SHIB donation to a wallet seemingly linked to Buterin, raise questions about the extent of their prior communication. While the exact nature of the connection between Shiba Inu and Ethereum remains unclear, these events undeniably suggest a level of interaction beyond mere coincidence.
