Charles Hoskinson, the CEO of IOG, who created Cardano (ADA), has recently shared three major aspects that the largest proof-of-stake (PoS) blockchain will focus on in 2022.
Hoskinson revealed this in a new interview with Marco Monty Montemagno, a popular YouTuber. According to the Cardano creator, the blockchain project will focus on commercial comparability, network sustainability, and self-determination of the entire Cardano ecosystem.

In terms of commercial sustainability, the mathematician pointed out that Cardano (ADA) has been doing well since its emergence in terms of important upgrades. He said this has boosted the crypto project’s ability to compete with stern rivals, such as the largest smart contracts platform, Ethereum, and others alike.
Charles Hoskinson noted:
“With the right upgrade, we will not only get the correctness and the resilience of the network, but we will also get the best of what competitors are bringing to bear.”
Hoskinson further revealed that a number of new features, such as sidechains, will go live between June and October this year. He said the team at IOG will also set their focus on the sustainability of Cardano, in order to boost the scalability and growth of the network, which is the second major focus of the blockchain in 2022.
He added that the team will continue to prioritize the improvement of user experience on the Cardano network, unlike what users currently endure on the Ethereum network.
According to Hoskinson, if self-determination is in place, the entire ecosystem, which includes, ADA holders, can decide the future of the Cardano blockchain.
Charles Hoskinson said:
“Once you have a solid governance system, you will have the wisdom of millions instead of a few. No matter how smart I am, I am not smarter than a million people. We’ll harness the wisdom of Cardano enthusiasts.”
