Ripple acquired prime broker Hidden Road and combined it with its own licenses to form Ripple Prime. In its announcement, Ripple stated that “institutional clients in the United States can now trade XRP and RLUSD through Ripple Prime.”

Ripple Prime is also a member of the DTCC’s industry working group. That puts a firm that actively utilizes XRP directly inside the group designing the DTCC’s tokenization service.

The DTCC acquired Securrency and renamed it DTCC Digital Assets, making it the clearing corporation’s official blockchain division. Securrency’s protocol was built to run on several ledgers, including Ethereum, Stellar, and Ripple.

The DTCC now owns technology designed to operate natively on the XRP Ledger. This is not a third-party partnership. It is an internal capability the DTCC controls directly.

Fireblocks

Fireblocks is one of the largest digital asset custody networks in the world. It sits on the same DTCC industry working group. Industry research from FXC Intelligence lists the Fireblocks network as supporting the XRP Ledger alongside the Ripple Payments Network.

Fireblocks brings XRP Ledger compatibility into the working group from the custody infrastructure side, covering the movement and safekeeping of digital assets at institutional scale.

Securitize

Ripple announced the first integration of RLUSD into the Securitize platform. Securitize is actively integrating with the XRP Ledger. On June 5, a DTCC notice to all participants renamed Theorem Fund Services as Securitize Fund Services, with trading under the Securitize name beginning June 8.

Securitize is now an official participant in the DTCC system. That makes it the fourth firm connecting XRP Ledger activity to the DTCC’s network.

Dark Defender shared his Elliott Wave analysis of XRP on the weekly timeframe, marking the recent decline as Wave 2 of a larger bullish impulse sequence. Elliott Wave Structure

The chart shows a completed A-B-C corrective pattern running from early 2025 through mid-2026. Wave (A) bottomed near $1.8, Wave (B) recovered toward the asset’s all-time high of $3.65, and Wave (C) pulled it back to approximately $0.95. That bottom established the foundation for the current impulse structure.

From that base, Dark Defender counts Wave (1), which completed when XRP surged to $1.68 in late August. Wave (2) then pulled the price back to the $1.29 area. XRP currently sits at approximately $1.37, placing it just below the level that would confirm the next major move higher.

The Trigger for the Next Move

Dark Defender identified one number that matters most right now: $1.5692. He wrote, “Above $1.5692, Wave 3 begins.” That level matches the 85.4% Fibonacci extension on his chart. A confirmed close above $1.5692 would signal that Wave 3 of the larger impulse has started.

In Elliott Wave theory, Wave 3 structures are typically the longest and strongest of the entire five-wave sequence, which is why analysts watch for them closely.

Price Targets From the Chart

The Fibonacci extensions on Dark Defender’s chart map out a progression of targets for the move ahead. Wave (3) points toward the 361.80% extension at $7.0786. After a Wave (4) pullback to approximately $4.1043, Wave (5) projects all the way to the 427.20% extension at $10.1101.

The Original Attack

The hack began with CryptoBilis, a Ledger-authorized reseller serving Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Attackers physically modified Ledger Nano X devices before they reached buyers. They fitted a small secondary circuit board inside each unit, hidden beneath the screen. The board carried an LTE modem and an eSIM.

When a user set up the device, the 24-word seed phrase appeared on screen. The implant captured those words and transmitted them over a mobile data connection. The attacker then used the stolen seed phrases to access wallets remotely. Ledger’s own authenticity check passed these devices because the original secure chip remained untouched. Only the added hardware was malicious.

Blockchain intelligence firm Bitquery traced losses across six chains: TRON, Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, and Solana. The total is now more than $100 million taken from over 320 wallets.

The Supply Chain is Compromised

Fto shared an image showing an opened Ledger device with a clearly visible secondary board installed where there should be none. He stated the supply chain is “no longer isolated,” and that compromised devices are “already crossing borders.”

The Community Reacts

Several community voices weighed in. One noted that the implant passes Ledger’s Genuine Check because the original secure chip is real. He described this as the scariest part because physically opening the device is the only way to detect it.

Profitability Metrics Add Context

Beyond RSI, Cryptollica points to on-chain data. The Realized Profit/Loss Ratio was pushed deep into loss territory before beginning to recover. Relative Unrealized Profit has collapsed toward levels normally associated with maximum stress. These readings appear alongside price movement holding above long-term structural support.

Egrag Crypto Identifies $1 and $17 as Possible Outcomes

Egrag Crypto examined XRP’s three-day chart and compared its current structure with a previous price formation. According to the analysis, the earlier structure produced a breakout followed by a 375% expansion.

The analyst sees similarities between that historical setup and XRP’s current consolidation. The chart marks $3.68 as the key level that XRP needs to break before the larger $17.60 projection becomes relevant.

Egrag Crypto described the $17 target as a macro projection rather than a guaranteed outcome. The analysis instead calls for confirmation through price action before that scenario gains greater technical relevance.

$2.10 Becomes the Next Major Upside Level

Egrag Crypto’s tactical outlook focuses first on XRP’s shorter-term price movements. A breakout from the current consolidation could push XRP toward $2.10, according to the chart.
