Cardano Tops Vitalik Buterin’s Poll: ADA Preferred to Dominate Global Transactions and Savings By 2035

The poll has been concluded and it widely favored Cardano (ADA), the largest proof of stake (PoS) blockchain.

On 13th January 2021, Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum (ETH), shared a poll specifically for the Ethereum community. The poll is based on which currency would dominate global transactions and savings in the future if the currency is not ETH.

In the poll, Buterin involved a national currency and three major cryptocurrencies, such as U.S. Dollar (USD), Bitcoin (BTC), Solana (SOL), and Cardano (ADA).

Interested crypto users were given 24 hours to respond and a total of 600,697 responses were garnered. 42% of the respondents prefer Cardano (ADA) to dominate transactions and savings in the world by 2035, beating the largest cryptocurrency by market cap, Bitcoin (BTC), with 3.6%.

USD and Solana (SOL) received the least support with just 6.5% and 13.1% respectively.

Vitalik Buterin tweeted, “Poll for Ethereum community. You wake up in 2035, and 80% of all transactions + savings in the world are in one currency that is not ETH. Which would you prefer it to be?”

Number of Projects Building On Cardano Hits 199

Tim Harrison, IOHK Communications Director, recently notified the Cardano community of an incoming mid-month update. The update is about the scaling plans for 2022 and building new projects on the Cardano blockchain.

The tweet contained an image showing the number of projects currently building on the Cardano network at 199.

Tim Harrison tweeted, “Prolly nothing? Tune in to the mid month update tomorrow evening UK time for some updates on scaling plans for 2022 and meet a few more of the projects Building on Cardano.

Cardano co-founder and IOHK CEO Charles Hoskinson shared the tweet and then asked: ”Who wants to be project 200?”

Meanwhile, in late December 2021, Charles Hoskinson mentioned that over 175 projects were building on Cardano and about 11 projects would be launched by the end of Q1, 2022.

Now, this number has grown to 199, and over 17 projects might launch by the end of April 2022 at the latest.
