The poll has been concluded and it widely favored Cardano (ADA), the largest proof of stake (PoS) blockchain.
On 13th January 2021, Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum (ETH), shared a poll specifically for the Ethereum community. The poll is based on which currency would dominate global transactions and savings in the future if the currency is not ETH.
In the poll, Buterin involved a national currency and three major cryptocurrencies, such as U.S. Dollar (USD), Bitcoin (BTC), Solana (SOL), and Cardano (ADA).
Interested crypto users were given 24 hours to respond and a total of 600,697 responses were garnered. 42% of the respondents prefer Cardano (ADA) to dominate transactions and savings in the world by 2035, beating the largest cryptocurrency by market cap, Bitcoin (BTC), with 3.6%.
USD and Solana (SOL) received the least support with just 6.5% and 13.1% respectively.
Vitalik Buterin tweeted, “Poll for Ethereum community. You wake up in 2035, and 80% of all transactions + savings in the world are in one currency that is not ETH. Which would you prefer it to be?”
