Charles Hoskinson, the creator of the smart contract platform Cardano, has reacted once again to the criticisms about his comments on the ongoing lawsuit between Ripple and the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
In a new interview with the popular YouTuber Ben Armstrong (BitBoy Crypto) on the 21st of October, Hoskinson called out the XRP community for spreading what he tagged as conspiracy theories about the ongoing lawsuit.
Recall that Cardano creator had claimed that there was no corruption between the insiders at the SEC and Ethereum, stating that the claim was a grand conspiracy invented by XRP community members
“There are some people in the XRP community that are trying to invent this grand conspiracy that there was blatant corruption between the insiders at the SEC and Ethereum. I don’t honestly think that this is the issue here,” Charles Hoskinson said two weeks ago during a conversation with Tony Edward of Thinking Crypto.
This comment was greeted with backlash from the teeming XRP community members. David Schwartz, the CTO at Ripple did not also conceal his discontentment.
Hoskinson was accused of siding with the SEC despite the alleged corruption between Ethereum and former SEC officials, especially William Hinman, whose drafts of the 2018 speech were recently released by the SEC after a long contention.
The teeming community members believe Hoskinson was siding with the SEC because he’s one of the founders of Ethereum.
In his recent reaction to the accusations, he said, “But my only comments were to focus on the thing that’s going to win and focus on building bridges and relationships. Because of those comments, thousands and thousands and thousands of tweets, it was trending on Twitter, grand conspiracy. People attacked me, called me a petulant child, unprofessional. All these just vitriol and negativeness.”
Speaking about Ripple CTO David Schwartz, who said that he had a lot to say about the attack on Hoskinson, a situation he claimed left him sad, Cardano creator noted:
“I kind of was a little disappointed with David Schwartz and others saying a lot could be said and it makes me sad. How about you grow a f*cking pair of balls and tell your community not to be conspiratorial? Maybe you should do that because at the end of the day, we all have to live in this space together and hedging in the face of this madness doesn’t solve anything.”
