A prominent business strategist, Jake Claver has ignited conversation across the crypto community with his latest assertion: XRP’s current valuation is merely a shadow of its future potential. In a recent post on X, Claver claimed that major institutions are quietly accumulating XRP.
At the same time, retail investors remain largely unaware of the full scope of what’s unfolding behind the scenes. According to him, hesitation today may ultimately be seen as a missed opportunity tomorrow, as XRP evolves into the financial bedrock of international value transfer.
Claver’s post points to a growing trend of quiet institutional involvement in the XRP ecosystem. While headlines often spotlight Bitcoin and Ethereum, an increasing number of financial institutions, payment providers, and banks are beginning to integrate Ripple’s On-Demand Liquidity (ODL) solutions, which rely on XRP for cross-border settlements. This integration, Claver suggests, is happening out of the public eye—deliberately downplayed to keep retail speculation subdued while large players establish their positions at bargain valuations.
Indeed, recent movements in wallets associated with institutional platforms and OTC desks have shown significant XRP flows. Moreover, Ripple’s partnerships with central banks and financial institutions—from the Bank of England to SBI Holdings—suggest that XRP’s role in the future of finance is not theoretical but already being engineered.
Unlike most cryptocurrencies, XRP was designed to serve as a real-time settlement and liquidity bridge across currencies and jurisdictions. Its core value proposition lies in its ability to remove the need for pre-funded nostro accounts, a longstanding inefficiency in the legacy financial system. With the implementation of ISO 20022 messaging standards—adopted by global financial institutions—XRP’s interoperability becomes even more relevant, positioning it as a ready-made solution for streamlined, compliant, and efficient international finance.
Claver’s conviction seems rooted in this unique utility. While many tokens promise future use cases, XRP is already solving a significant pain point in the traditional banking sector. That advantage, coupled with Ripple’s global partnerships and legal momentum following partial victories in its lawsuit with the SEC, paints a compelling picture of XRP’s long-term value.
Jake Claver’s statement also reflects a familiar psychological pattern in investing: the fear of missing out (FOMO) versus the comfort of consensus. Retail investors often wait for validation from price action or social consensus before entering a market, while institutions tend to position themselves well ahead of significant developments. Claver warns that the “shadow price” we see today is unlikely to reflect XRP’s actual utility and demand in the years to come. According to Claver, “today’s hesitation will become tomorrow’s regret.”
This notion aligns with historical market behavior. Early Bitcoin investors saw massive gains when mainstream adoption followed years of skepticism. Ethereum’s initial underappreciation similarly gave way to explosive growth as decentralized applications and NFTs gained traction. XRP, with its focus on utility rather than hype, maybe carving a similar path—only with the added weight of enterprise and institutional adoption already underway.
Claver’s final claim—that “nothing in the crypto space offers this level of certainty and potential for massive returns”—may be bold, but it’s not without basis. Few projects have matched XRP’s consistent focus on regulatory compliance, institutional integration, and real-world problem-solving. As Ripple strengthens its partnerships, expands its infrastructure, and advocates for clear global regulations, the groundwork is being laid for XRP to become a core component of the emerging financial system.
In a landscape often dominated by speculative trends and short-term hype cycles, Claver’s perspective offers a grounded, strategic view, one that sees XRP not as a bet, but as a blueprint for the future of global finance.
