The SEC filed a lawsuit against Ripple in December 2020, alleging that the company had violated US securities laws by selling XRP tokens without registering them.

Before the announcement by Ripple CEO, it was reported that the XRP community met with the CEO at the XRP Las Vegas 2023. The occasion is said to be tipped as the Bitcoin Miami conference for ripple investors.

In a recent interview with Bloomberg, Garlinghouse said justice delayed is justice denied. He revealed that the SEC lawsuit won’t stop Ripple from growing.

He also noted that the SEC’s case is “weak” and that the agency has failed to prove that Ripple’s sale of XRP was an illegal securities offering.
