Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse and CTO Emeritus David Schwartz have been generating conversation among XRP investors. A popular figure in the community criticized Garlinghouse for his hesitance when speaking about where XRP would be in 5 years.
He also called out Schwartz for leaning toward retail adoption when asked about XRP’s future. Vandell Aljarrah, co-founder of Black Swan Capitalist, has a clear position on all of it.
Theater to Impress Retail Investors
Aljarrah says he places zero attention on what executives say. He stated: “I could care less what they say.” He does not follow Garlinghouse, Schwartz, or any company leadership as part of his investment process. To him, press releases and executive statements are noise.
Aljarrah described the cycle of investor reaction to these headlines as “theater” for retail participants who do not understand how markets operate. He believes most people in the XRP community spend too much time on “irrelevant trivial details that don’t do anything for them.”
My honest opinion on Ripple CEO Brad’s commentary on XRP. Nothing has changed. pic.twitter.com/LP5y1a8m2D

What Aljarrah Watches
Rather than executive commentary, Aljarrah monitors liquidity, market sentiment, macroeconomic cycles, monetary policy, and price structure. He looks at where retail investors are emotionally and what actions they are taking. He watches the technicals for price reference and focuses on structural fundamentals behind each position.
His framework rests on a core conviction that supply and demand drive price, and liquidity, sentiment, and macro trends are what influence supply and demand. Nothing a CEO says changes those forces.
Why XRP’s Fundamentals Still Hold
Aljarrah’s bullish case for XRP has nothing to do with what Garlinghouse said or did not say. It rests on whether the asset’s structural fundamentals remain intact. His conclusion is that they do. “As long as the fundamentals haven’t changed, then nothing has changed.”
He ties this to two long-range theses. The first is systemic asset inflation in a debt-based system, which he expects to continue supporting scarce, quality assets. The second is the tokenization and utility adoption thesis, which he believes will play out over a multi-year time horizon regardless of executive messaging.
His position is that XRP remains a quality asset and that the cycle is still unfolding. The goal is to be positioned on the right side of that cycle before it reaches its next stage.
The Cycle Is What Counts
Aljarrah emphasizes that even quality assets can be bought at the wrong time. Knowing where a cycle stands is the primary skill.
Buy quality at a discount, align with the macro trend, and ignore everything else. His message to XRP investors is to stop attaching emotional energy to executive narratives and start focusing on the data that drives price.
