Ripple Is “Building the New Wall Street”, XRP Ledger Is Leading the Way

In a recent X post, Ripple made a direct and symbolic statement about the transformation underway in global finance. Accompanied by a short promotional video, Ripple’s tweet read, “If it’s happening onchain, it’s happening with @Ripple.”

The video clip featured bold imagery, including a ticking clock, a charging bull, and directional signs pointing to Wall Street, Broad Street, and Tokyo’s Marunouchi Line.

The video prominently displayed the phrase “It’s happening,” suggesting a shift already in motion. The post aligns with Ripple’s ongoing efforts to position itself as a central infrastructure provider in the emerging on-chain financial ecosystem.

Ripple Is Building the New Wall Street

Crypto researcher SMQKE responded to Ripple’s tweet by stating, “Remember: Ripple is ‘building the new Wall Street’, starting with the Hidden Road acquisition.” SMQKE’s message emphasized that Ripple’s broader strategy is not merely about blockchain adoption but about reshaping institutional finance itself.

The researcher added, “Ripple’s post is a strong signal that the Wall Street flood to On-Chain finance has begun. And the XRPL is leading the way.” The researcher’s commentary reinforces the view that Ripple is no longer just a participant in blockchain innovation but a driving force behind structural changes to how capital moves in institutional markets.

Hidden Road Acquired as Strategic Infrastructure

Ripple’s acquisition of multi-asset prime broker, Hidden Road, marks a major step in its expansion into institutional finance. SMQKE referenced the acquisition in the context of Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin, noting that Hidden Road already uses RLUSD as collateral.

According to a shared briefing, Ripple plans to leverage the acquisition to scale RLUSD and integrate post-trade activity into the XRP Ledger (XRPL) and Ripple Payments.

This signals a significant broadening of Ripple’s infrastructure strategy — moving beyond cross-border payments into the full lifecycle of institutional trading and settlement. By incorporating prime brokerage functions and post-trade capabilities on-chain, Ripple is positioning itself to offer end-to-end solutions for institutional finance.

XRPL at the Forefront of Institutional On-Chain Activity

SMQKE’s interpretation positions the XRP Ledger as a leading protocol in the transition of financial markets onto blockchain infrastructure. By citing Ripple’s tweet and connecting it to broader developments such as Hidden Road’s institutional footprint and the use of RLUSD, SMQKE underscored that Ripple is not building in isolation.

Instead, the firm appears to be constructing a vertically integrated stack for institutional finance — one that includes stablecoin issuance, brokerage access, post-trade systems, and native on-chain settlement.
