Late 2023 and early 2024 have seen the rise of meme coins. A lot of these meme coins have come from the Solana ecosystem, with one meme coin recently giving a trader $170,000 with a 3 SOL investment.
Among the Solana ecosystem’s rising stars, Myro (MYRO) has caught the eye of top crypto influencer Ben Armstrong (Bitboy), drawing comparisons to the illustrious Shiba Inu (SHIB). This comparison has raised questions on whether Myron could become the DOGE or SHIB of the Solana ecosystem.

While some investors prefer discovering new cryptocurrencies when investing in meme coins, unearthing diamonds in the rough can be more valuable. Many favor the tried-and-tested approach, seeking refuge in established trends.
Armstrong, however, isn’t content with simply following the herd. He is a seasoned crypto explorer, knowledgeable enough to find promising new ventures within the Solana meme coin crowd.
What is Myro?
Myro is the latest meme coin on Armstrong’s radar. The self-proclaimed “Solana founder’s dog” meme coin has rapidly gained traction in recent weeks.
Armstrong’s bold prediction is that Myro could eclipse even the mighty Shiba Inu (SHIB), the meme coin that shocked the world in 2021, surging to the top of the meme coin market, and surpassing Dogecoin (DOGE) for a brief period.
In Armstrong’s words, “$MYRO is the $SHIB of this bull run. Get ready. I am starting to wonder whether or not it actually could flip $BONK.”
Bonk, another prominent Solana meme coin, currently boasts a respectable $720 million market cap and over 10,200% gains since its launch. Myro, still in its infancy, trails at $215 million but has surged over 5,700% since its launch late last year, showing untapped potential.
While Bitcoin and the broader crypto market are declining, Myro has remained strong, showing a 9.45% increase in 24 hours, a 111.68% surge in the past week, and an astonishing 794.13% increase in the past month. Myro is currently trading at $0.2276, just 14.5% down from its all-time high of $0.2607, and it could breach it again soon.

Myro’s Future
Myro’s journey is far from over. Its future remains tethered to the volatile world of meme coins, where unpredictable spikes are as common as sudden plummets. While Armstrong’s Shiba Inu-sized prophecy is exciting, investors have to tread carefully.
Meanwhile, a crypto proponent recently called out some rug-pull meme coins on the Solana ecosystem, showing that bad actors are still present in the market.
