Crypto enthusiast XRP Olesya believes Ripple is positioning itself to become a major infrastructure provider for the global financial system through a coordinated expansion involving acquisitions, banking licenses, institutional partnerships, and blockchain-based payment services.
In an extensive analysis, she examined Ripple’s announcements over the previous eight weeks, noting that the company is assembling an interconnected financial operation in which XRP could eventually play a central role.
Her analysis focuses on eight areas of the financial system, including stablecoins, settlement infrastructure, custody, brokerage services, corporate treasury management, asset distribution, tokenization, and regulatory access. She believes Ripple is bringing these components together to establish an institutional financial network.
Today, I put on my hat as an analyst for a major bank and examined everything Ripple has announced over the past eight weeks—viewing it all as a single, cohesive operation. Because that is exactly what it is. And I need to share what this analysis reveals.

Ripple Is Building Across Eight Financial Layers
XRP Olesya began by examining RLUSD, Ripple’s dollar-backed stablecoin, which she described as the money layer of the operation. She put its circulation at approximately $2.5 billion and highlighted its regulatory position under New York oversight and the federal regulatory developments involving the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).
She identified the XRP Ledger as the settlement infrastructure, citing its ability to process transactions within three to five seconds, operate around the clock, and charge relatively low transaction fees.
The custody layer also featured prominently in her analysis. She referenced Ripple’s federal banking approval and its relationship with BNY, which provides custody services for RLUSD and XRP. She highlighted BNY’s $63.4 trillion in assets under custody, describing the institution as the world’s largest custodian.
For institutional trading, she pointed to Ripple Prime, which followed Ripple’s $1.25 billion acquisition of Hidden Road. She also included Ripple Treasury, formerly GTreasury, acquired for approximately $1 billion. The platform serves more than 1,000 corporations, including American Airlines and Subway.
XRP Olesya further identified Robinhood and DriveWealth as important distribution channels. She highlighted Robinhood’s 28.6 million clients and its RLUSD integration, alongside DriveWealth’s services to more than 100 brokerage firms.
Tokenized financial assets represent another component. She cited Franklin Templeton and Aviva’s money market funds, C2FO’s trade invoice operations, and JPMorgan’s government treasury pilot involving the XRP Ledger.
She also referenced Ripple’s 85 licenses, federal banking approval, the BLOOM project involving three central banks, and partnerships with Cantor Fitzgerald.
RLUSD Reserves As a Revenue Opportunity
Beyond the infrastructure, XRP Olesya believes RLUSD’s reserve structure could generate substantial revenue for its issuer.
She explained that reserves backing stablecoins can generate returns through investments in assets such as U.S. Treasury bills. Using a 4% annual yield and $2.5 billion in circulation, she estimated that RLUSD’s reserves could generate approximately $100 million annually.
She further suggested that increasing RLUSD’s circulation tenfold through integrations with Robinhood, Ripple Treasury, and C2FO could raise annual reserve income to approximately $1 billion.
However, this projection depends on continued stablecoin growth, reserve composition, and prevailing interest rates.
Why XRP Could Become Central to Ripple’s Strategy
XRP Olesya believes Ripple’s acquisition strategy gives it an advantage in reaching established financial institutions. Rather than convincing every bank to adopt an entirely new system, Ripple can acquire companies with existing corporate relationships and payment operations before integrating blockchain infrastructure into their services.
She believes institutions will initially adopt familiar products such as stablecoins, tokenized funds, and treasury management software. As their operations increasingly use the XRP Ledger, she expects XRP to become more relevant as a bridge asset for cross-border currency conversion and as the token used to pay transaction fees.
Concluding her analysis, XRP Olesya noted that Ripple wants to occupy a position comparable to Visa, BNY, DTCC, and SWIFT combined within the tokenized financial system.
