The One Single Statement That Excites XRP Army At Ripple Swell 2026

Ripple just had its best year on record. Revenue grew from $300 million to $900 million in a single year. And the first commitment CEO Brad Garlinghouse brought up at the Swell 10th anniversary was XRP.

“We will never give up on XRP,” Garlinghouse said on stage.

That statement landed at a time when questions about XRP’s place inside Ripple’s strategy had been circulating. The price dropped nearly 70% from its peak. RLUSD had been growing. Some observers read those developments as a shift away from XRP. Garlinghouse addressed those claims directly.

RLUSD Is Growing on the XRP Ledger

Roughly half of all RLUSD currently sits on the XRP Ledger, with the other half on Ethereum. Garlinghouse confirmed the XRP Ledger side has grown faster over the past year.

“RLUSD and having a stablecoin on the XRP Ledger is good for the XRP Ledger because we have liquidity on-chain,” he said.

Crypto analyst daoland589 highlighted these figures after Garlinghouse’s appearance. The analyst noted that every dollar flowing into RLUSD adds activity to the XRP Ledger, not away from it.

Trillions Still Off-Chain

The money moving through Ripple Treasury and Prime currently sits at around $16 trillion. Over 99% of it remains off-chain. Daoland589 pointed to 2027 as a potential measuring point for how much of that capital moves on-chain.

Even 1% would represent $160 billion. The analyst argued the XRP ecosystem is positioned to absorb that flow.

Garlinghouse reinforced why XRP is suited for that scale. “Because of XRP’s efficiency as a layer one blockchain in terms of speed, scalability, it is uniquely positioned to solve some very large, many trillions of dollars scaled use cases,” he said.

XRP and RLUSD as Complementary Assets

Garlinghouse rejected the idea that RLUSD and XRP are in competition. Ripple remains the largest XRP holder and the most active technology contributor to the ecosystem. The company has also invested across a broad set of XRP ecosystem participants.

“We view them as very complementary,” he said of RLUSD and XRP. “We will never do something we think is bad for the XRP ecosystem.”

Daoland589 summarized the position plainly: RLUSD is bringing money to the XRP Ledger, not displacing XRP.

The Numbers Back the Commitment

Ripple’s record revenue year, RLUSD’s accelerating growth on the XRP Ledger, and $16 trillion in off-chain capital form the basis of the analyst’s outlook. The company that tripled its revenue chose XRP as the first promise it named publicly.

Garlinghouse closed the point at Swell with the same words he opened it with: “We will never give up on XRP.”
