Charles Hoskinson, the CEO of IOG who created Cardano (ADA), is still touring Africa to bring needed transformation via blockchain technology. He has been able to meet a number of African leaders and businesses. And according to his latest tweet, he’s currently in Ethiopia.
Hoskinson shared a tweet with photos, saying he met Ethiopia’s minister of Education to discuss the digital transformation of the country’s education credentials, which boasts of 5 million students and relatively 750,000 teachers.

It can be recalled that Input Output Global (IOG), the software firm behind the development of Cardano (ADA), sealed a partnership with Ethiopia’s Ministry of Education back in April. The big partnership is targeted at creating a blockchain-based national ID and attainment recording system.
According to IOG, the partnership will bring over 5 million students and 750,000 teachers to the Cardano network. The development was also described as the largest blockchain deployment in the world.

The purpose of the deal is to improve the efficiency of education and ensure the social mobility of students who live in poverty-stricken rural areas.
Reacting to the photos posted by Hoskinson, a crypto enthusiast asked for the purpose of meeting the minister of education after a deal was already signed a couple of months ago.
In response to the user’s question, Charles Hoskinson said the meeting is meant to scale up the already existing partnership.
